Everything about this scene is topnotch. The kiss showcased his each and every emotion and it was so beautiful and intense. He loved her for so long in his own shy, quiet way but he finally let himself go and kiss her. what a beautiful scene. They really deserved each other. Deok sun didnt forced herself to like him, (unlike sunwoo and jung hwan) she just developed feelings for him little by little without her realizing it.
Honestly, the way Jung Hwan loved Deok Sun was very dreamy and romantic. But even he admitted that Taek wanted Deok Sun more than he did because Taek was willing to do what he never had the courage to do; Taek fought for Deok Sun. He made those small, conscious decisions at the exact time that he needed to make them. And on top of all these, Deok Sun finally followed Dong Ryong's advice and liked someone on her own without knowing if there is a possibility that the person will like her back. And that person being Taek is something that may not make much sense to anyone but I'm sure it didn't make sense to her too, but aren't feelings just that? You simply don't get to choose who your heart beats for.
Now lets talk about that hot damn kiss. The zooming when Taek grabbed the chair's sides? Holy freaking shit. That split second blackout? Heart freaking attack. When their lips touched? COULDN'T BREATHE. When Taek grabbed DeokSun's face with both his hands? I FREAKING DIED.
Its sad that he had a lot of chances to confess, but still has no confidence. The ending is quite good though i wished for more moments for Taek x Deoksun
Nothing can ruin my day today. All throughout Reply 1988, I've had a very guarded shipper heart (*cough*Chilbongie*cough*)... Who would've thought that the Taektanic ship would actually sail to happily ever after? I am sooooooooo proud of this ship. Hat's off to the PD and the Writer for going against the tide this time around. *insert happy dance here*
Ep 18 was named "Goodbye, My First Love" for a reason and that was for Jung hwan to let his love for Deok sun go. It just shows that sometimes first love doesn't work as you hope it would and it's okay to be sad but you just have to pick yourself up and learn to love again.

Taek was always honest with his feelings towards duk seon its only that she saw him more as a little brother well until she came to terms with her own feelings. whereas junghwan was inlove with her but he didnt really show her in a way that she would know he was hot and cold with her. you need to realise that as viewers we saw more of his love for her than she did. and she fell inlove with taek naturally and without anyones influence. im so happy for both of them theyll make such cute imaginary babies!!!!

I was team Taek since the very beginning in episode 1 when she told him to grow up quick so he can marry her, but I had no doubt in my mind she would end up with Junghwan. The story lead towards Taek and honestly in real life it most definitely would have been Taek but Kdramas almost never follow real life logic or even the logic of their own creations and always make the girl end up with the first male lead. I even hoped she would end up with Dongryong just so it wouldn't be as bad as it was with Chilbong. So when she actually did end up with Taek even though I had been hoping for him since the beginning, I was still pretty shocked which I think is hilarious because it makes so much sense but even though it makes sense, kdramas usually never do. Even though the ending definitely left me wanting more, I was very happy with this drama. It's nice that they finally considered the female leads feelings~
It's like riding on roller coaster while watching this drama! I shipped for taek and dukseon in the beginning of the drama, and was really disappointed in the middle which seems that jungpal would be her choice. And now!!! This scene suprised me again!!!!! It is the best among the 응답하라 series!

The song and the kiss are so well blended. I have never come across any series which does background music so well perhaps after Euphoria I guess. Park Bo Gum kinda confuses me. He seems to be a pure person but good lord he’s a damn good kisser. I don’t know why I feel like he’s one of those people with good nature but a bit timid and cold too. I am so in love with him.

Moral value that I got from this drama. If you love someone say it. As simple as that. I adore bora-sw couple, bora didn't like sunwoo in the first place but sunwoo keep trying to win her heart and he finally got it. But junghwan, he likes DS since he was young but he doesn't has enough courage to tell her. If Junghwan confess his feeling before ep 10, DS may love her back. If he put more effort to win DS heart before Taek reveal his true feeling then the story will be different. note: sorry for my bad english
and if you notice everytime after jung hean n deoksun scene, and u can see how jung hwan always hesitate to approach deok sun romantically, the drama will always show seunwoo who took the courage to pursuit for bora eventho he got rejected a lot. The show also always emphasise how u should show someone that u love them before its too late. Its like they telling us right there, that jung hwan is gonna lose because how hesitate he is. Even ryu jun yeol frustrated with his character, it was meant to be like that, not because the writer us bias towards taek or wht not lol
I knew early on that Taek is the husband after the episode with the chocolate. But the deal was sealed for me in the episode where he and JH were both watching Deuk Sun and Dong Ryong dancing. Taek glanced at JH looking at Deuk Sun. Taek recognized the look in JH face. It was the " look of love"...!!! I could see the expression on Taek's face hardened to one of resolve to win the girl. It was the look of competition...I got the sense in Taek's expression that he was going to use everything in him that made him a champion at Baduk to win the love of his life...he's not a champion of strategy for nothing!!
@@jayadhaker6099 i'm replying late, too, but the chocolate episode was episode 2. in 2015 we saw older deoksun and taek talking about who received the chocolate on that day. deoksun was pretty sure she gave it to him (or at least left it for him to find, not sunwoo or anyone else). but taek didn't receive it. actually, no one did. not even sunwoo. if you go back to that episode, you will see that she placed it on top of sunwoo's jacket (taek has pretty much the same one). what many noticed is that the video camera, that was left recording jinjoo, was tempered with and some footage got deleted. many believe jung-bong took the chocolate and deleted parts of the video so no one ever finds out it was him. in later episodes we see him give a chocolate bar with a note to maggie (which was probably inspired by deoksun's chocolate). so basically the chocolate was meant for taek but he never got it (nor did anyone else).
If T and DS are happy,JH is happy :) JH always thinks for others and im really love his character ! PD-nim , plz make JH have a happy ending as well :D Our Jungpal deserves someone love him from the moon and back ❤️
Wow! I watched this drama thinking that I will be having another second lead syndrome but starting ep 16 I had a gut feeling that taek will be the end game and boy i was so right!! I just love this couple, their chemistry is amazing...Park bo gum you just earned a new fan!!😍...this is my fave answer me so far! Well done writer-nim!! I also love Junghwans Character just not for Deoksun! taek and deoksun are perfect!
Yessss! #TeamTaek Not gonna lie i was pretty neutral throughout the drama but as soon as they started focusing on Taek I was leaning more towards him. I feel bad for Gae Jungpal because they totally messed with his character after ep 10. But I'm glad Taek turned out to be the hubby(unless they do some last min changes but hopefully not)
The writing in this drama is so different... They showed us a lot more about how JH fell in love than Taek😅 but I understood why in the end, love doesn't have to be burning red to work out, sometimes it's better when it's golden and warmer. I hope someone understood the reference hahahah

I finished this masterpiece yesterday and Also rewatched some of my favorite scenes like The revelation scene of Their 1st kiss and The scene in the car when Taek disagreed with Duk Seon that he is not going to keep his feelings a secret anymore & And in that scene Taek's intense gaze towards her just made me go crazy..How come a 22 year old chap acts so deep...I really fell for him in this drama...

The song and the kiss are so well blended. I have never come across any series which does background music so well perhaps after Euphoria I guess. Park Bo Gum kinda confuses me. He seems to be a pure person but good lord he’s a damn good kisser. I don’t know why I feel like he’s one of those people with good nature but a bit timid and cold too. I am so in love with him.

I adore bora-sw couple, bora didn't like sunwoo in the first place but sunwoo keep trying to win her heart and he finally got it.
But junghwan, he likes DS since he was young but he doesn't has enough courage to tell her. If Junghwan confess his feeling before ep 10, DS may love her back. If he put more effort to win DS heart before Taek reveal his true feeling then the story will be different.

and if you notice everytime after jung hean n deoksun scene, and u can see how jung hwan always hesitate to approach deok sun romantically, the drama will always show seunwoo who took the courage to pursuit for bora eventho he got rejected a lot. The show also always emphasise how u should show someone that u love them before its too late. Its like they telling us right there, that jung hwan is gonna lose because how hesitate he is. Even ryu jun yeol frustrated with his character, it was meant to be like that, not because the writer us bias towards taek or wht not lol

I knew early on that Taek is the husband after the episode with the chocolate. But the deal was sealed for me in the episode where he and JH were both watching Deuk Sun and Dong Ryong dancing. Taek glanced at JH looking at Deuk Sun. Taek recognized the look in JH face. It was the " look of love"...!!! I could see the expression on Taek's face hardened to one of resolve to win the girl. It was the look of competition...I got the sense in Taek's expression that he was going to use everything in him that made him a champion at Baduk to win the love of his life...he's not a champion of strategy for nothing!!

@@jayadhaker6099 i'm replying late, too, but the chocolate episode was episode 2. in 2015 we saw older deoksun and taek talking about who received the chocolate on that day. deoksun was pretty sure she gave it to him (or at least left it for him to find, not sunwoo or anyone else). but taek didn't receive it. actually, no one did. not even sunwoo. if you go back to that episode, you will see that she placed it on top of sunwoo's jacket (taek has pretty much the same one). what many noticed is that the video camera, that was left recording jinjoo, was tempered with and some footage got deleted. many believe jung-bong took the chocolate and deleted parts of the video so no one ever finds out it was him. in later episodes we see him give a chocolate bar with a note to maggie (which was probably inspired by deoksun's chocolate). so basically the chocolate was meant for taek but he never got it (nor did anyone else).

Wow! I watched this drama thinking that I will be having another second lead syndrome but starting ep 16 I had a gut feeling that taek will be the end game and boy i was so right!! Not gonna lie i was pretty neutral throughout the drama but as soon as they started focusing on Taek I was leaning more towards him. I feel bad for Gae Jungpal because they totally messed with his character after ep 10. But I'm glad Taek turned out to be the hubby(unless they do some last min changes but hopefully not)

The writing in this drama is so different... They showed us a lot more about how JH fell in love than Taek😅 but I understood why in the end, love doesn't have to be burning red to work out, sometimes it's better when it's golden and warmer. I hope someone understood the reference hahahah
