I don't understand that all players stays on the ice when their stick is broken or somewhere on the ice.
Can't the team have like a 6 seconds PK strategy so that the guy can get one quickly instead of being a skating cone for 10,30,50 seconds?

This is how I know you know nothing about hockey. It’s the second period, and McAvoy is defending the ice opposite of where his bench is. Takes a lot more than 6 seconds to get from red line to red line and back in the play, better to try and stay and block a shot - which he failed to do to my delight
