At 5:35 speaker says, "We use this word "happy," and it's this very large umbrella of a term. And then three emotions for which there are no English words: fiero, which is the pride in accomplishment of a challenge; schadenfreude, which is happiness in another's misfortune, a malicious pleasure; and naches, which is a pride and joy in one's children. Absent from this list, and absent from any discussions of happiness, are happiness in another's happiness." :)

Interesting facts over here! Other psychology ones like those by Martin Seligman and Dan Gilbert that I did summaries about on my channel (because they are just so intriguing) are pretty good as well

This is how psychology functions by taking attention away from social injustice and placing the blame within individuals

You stated that "50% of out happiness comes from our genetics". Please cite some peer reviewed academic work i may read that lead you to not only ANY happiness, but 50%? Evey paper and even my favorite book "I Hate you, Don't Leave Me" wich is filled with references to environmental anecdotes, says at best "it is believed genetics...." the moment a scientist utters those words they are no longer speaking as a scientist, but a faith preacher.

She has to work on her voice and accent.. You can't understand the words she is saying sometimes. Duck talking. Very annoying.

God your delivery is awful! As a teacher let me tell you: You have to put in pauses and not give the impression that you are nervously racing to the next sentence...
