    It's funny how much fishing gear you fit into such a small boat, super cool project.

    Great job on the boat. Decent glassing man. I work with composites quite a bit, especially parts in carbon and kevlar for track cars. Nice looking touring on the CSL wheels as well. I'm a huge bimmer enthusiast, I've owned 8 personally and do track prep work on them for customers. Great job dude! Looks like you and the wife had a blast. 😎👍

    I have watched some of your videos and they helped me to decide to finally buy the 60hp Honda engine similar to yours, if not the same. Could you tell me what are the properties of the propellers in 13:30? If you don't remember the models maybe at least you could tell me what's their pitch. It would help me a lot since I have a similar boat but the performance is not as good as yours. Thank you sincerely in advance!

    • @Maxxifull
      @Maxxifull  2 года назад +1

      Very nice to hear. My Honda is a BF60A K1LRTU. The 4-blade prop is a Quicksilver Nemesis 10.1x15, you can find it also with smaller pitch, 12-14". How high rpm's does the motor rev on full throttle? What size prop do you have?

    • @bigboss9544
      @bigboss9544 2 года назад

      @@Maxxifull At 3900-4000 rpm the boat is planing, max rpm is 6200 and the boat reaches the speed of 33.4 knots. Meanwhile from what I saw you could reach over 50 knots after changing the propeller. Mine is a steel Solos 11x15

    • @Maxxifull
      @Maxxifull  2 года назад

      @@bigboss9544 Your speed is quite normal. In the video I'm using km/h, about 55-56km/h which is about 30 knots.

    • @bigboss9544
      @bigboss9544 2 года назад

      @@Maxxifull ah okay, thank you very much, I thought those were knots because the video was not sharp, thus the question

    Oi. Not being a "hater", but I hate fishing, because I hate EATING fish (gross!)... so I've never been interested in trying to catch them.
    That said, I LOVE the water, and this little boat had a LOT of potential as a general "pleasure craft", so I'm kind of bummed you ruined it in favor of making it a dedicated fishing boat.
    But with THAT said, you did beautiful work, and the results are very professional. With the philosophy of "to each their own" in mind, GREAT JOB!

    At time 2:34 this species of fish , if in Canada , would be called a "Walleye" . If in the USA would be called a "Pickerel" . Which term do Australian folks use ?

    how far u can go or travel on this little boat?

    • @Maxxifull
      @Maxxifull  7 месяцев назад

      It was a very small boat, so in hard weather it could have been hard to go far out. But if thinking about fuel consumption it could have gone quite far. The Honda motor was consuming very little.

    Where did u buy the weather stripping for the windows?

    • @Maxxifull
      @Maxxifull  3 года назад

      It was hard to find new ones with the same dimensions, so I used the orginal strippings, they where in decent condition and I treated them with rubber treatment.

    800 hours of labor @ $20.00 per hour = $16,000.00 plus Honda Engine @ $3,000.00? plus Electronics including Sonar & Radar @ $3,000.00 = $22,000.00 divided by 22 Zandars (whatever kind of sailfish is that?) = $1000.00 per Zandar. Not bad not knowing what your local restaurant charges per Zandar. Just kidding, I'm sure they are well worth it. I've owned 8 boats and each one had the proverbial best two days one when you buy it and the other when you sell it.

    What did the whole project cost ?

    • @Maxxifull
      @Maxxifull  3 года назад

      Someone asked this same thing in a earlier video. Havn't calculated any exact amount, but everything is expencive these days. The boat was 650 euros, and only polyester and fiberglass cloth was maybe something like 300 euros in total, fillers and paint ~400 euros. Screws, bolts, plywood, etc etc, a lot of other needed accessorys. But it doesn't feel so bad when you buy only small amounts here and then. 😄 Of course the new outboard was the biggest investment in the project, also bought a new trailer for the boat.
