Thanks for the entertaining video tour, which also included psychology about what we remember from what we saw. Remembering can also be affected by your emotional state. It was funny to notice how you remembered the swirls around the stars in the sky more than in Vincent van Gogh's original starry night. I really liked this video.

Yep, I've spent a lot of time drawing and painting from a reference and I still do it all the time whether I do studies or originals. Every time you paint from a reference it's like adding a building block to your memory, which will make it easier to draw without a reference in the future.
