I've been watching the other two for awhile now and met them two years ago at this same event, but I will now be adding a sub to you as well. After this panel you can guess what video I'll be searching for first. :D
Mine would be my IBM 5100, which I gave awa 25 years agoy. Funny - the same guy I gave the IBM 5100 to is giving me a VAX tho', 25 years later. I just need to go pick it up. Maybe it will be ny new jewel of my collection!
I came here through a link in the 8-Bit Guy's presentation video from this festival. I thought at first I'd listen to 10 minutes of it and then watch the rest later. I ended up watching the whole thing in one sitting. The applause at the end, when Jim was thanking the panel, please consider my applause added to it, all the way from New Zealand.
finally - a piece of content where clint is the alpha male!! joking aside - loved this panel. probably the nerdiest thing i'll watch all year and i have no shame
Thanks for hosting and for sharing here, such a great panel! It's great to hear that these guys who I've been watching for 10+ years and who have inspired a lot of us to take the same path are just muddling through like the rest of us - and I certainly don't mean any disrespect by that. 🙂
Oh, for sure, marvellous panel, but absolutely great interviewer as well! Funny, listening, witty, calm, respectful ... exemplary! Great to see these 3 guys out of their habitat ... and they're even more cool, funny and interesting than they normally are in their vids: and that's saying a WHOLE lot! Kudos!
This was definitely my favorite part of the event aside from meeting all the awesome people. Great insights into the RUclips retro tech life from some of the big ones. Thanks for all the work both on stage and behind the scenes.
An important thing that sets them apart is that they are very good at talking, there are hardly any "eh" "ah" pauses or stuttering. Anybody can think it is easy to do videos, but most people don't have a good voice or the oratory skills to do it interesting like these guys.
In regards to David’s comments about people wanting perfection. My opinion is I love all his videos and look forward to each one so people need to chill out. They all seem well researched and put together
Very insightful! Great questions and I don't remember your name now, but the guy running the show on the left did a fantastic job! Repeating questions that were a bit muffled. Great followups to ther questions to elaborate on just the right and interesting things. Just, darn good job man! And the same goes for the panel too of course. :)
I've really enjoyed this the further the video goes along. They're all hard cases, good at spinning a yarn. And great questions from the interviewer and audience
I remember being excited about the Sinclair C5 video coming, now I know why we didn't see it. Sir Clive just passed away, maybe a good time to revisit it?
@Clint, David & Ken As a viewer, I enjoy videos that are about interesting subjects and fun ideas. The video and sound quality are not as important as the subject material. As long as the video & audio are good, your viewers are going to have fun! Only the nit-pickers care about absolute perfection, the rest of us watch your channels to have fun, to learn about things we didn't know before and to vicariously share in your hobbies! So please focus on the stuff you want show without worrying about having everything just right. If something isn't perfect or complete, that's ok, show us what you can show us and fill in the gaps with a narrative that will paint a picture in our minds of what's missing! You guys are awesome now and while you have refined your presentation skills, it's YOU, the way you are and the stuff you do that we enjoy! Examples, Clint & David, you both mentioned that you cringe when you look back at those older video's, but for us viewers we look back and see how interesting and fun you were back then and it's an enjoyable experience. Guy's, just keep being you, have fun, finish those video projects even if you can't make them perfect and trust me we'll have fun with you!
I like Clint's story of rescuing the computers from the school and thinking about David's video of bringing the VIC-20s back from Oklahoma and about going crazy listening to the squeaking styrofoam :-)
53:00 It´s great to hear Dave pointing out the difference of running a channel beeing female. A woman has to endure a lot more of negative feedback and overall garbage running a youtube channel, or any other social media oriented channel or site.
Two "unobtainiums" that i would love for any of you guys to do a video about: The Atari Falcon 030, and the elusive SAM Coupé. Both are really expensive and really wonderful machines.
I tremendously regret the LONG line of classic computers I've owned but simply gotten rid of over time. All but one were simply trashed. That one was donated.
My favorite cringe video of David is the video of him talking about his daily life where he’s running in the park in jeans with his Jurassic park t-shirt.
Very interesting conversation. Random thought on the "Grind your gears" answers: I really really really really appreciate the youtubers that engage with the community to get better information. By that I mean the forums, and mailing lists, facebook, etc. People who spend decades studying some obscure topic seldom spend enough time fixing Wikipedia, but they do hang out on Lemon64, or various fb groups, or comp.sys.cbm or something. I do see some of the panel guys making inquiries there, but it's really obvious which youtubers don't do that, and their videos suffer for it.
What a great panel!
Wish u were there 2
Really cool to see you here!
you would probably have done well if you were on this panel
That was a really fun panel to be in! Thank you.
Thw fact that there is not gonna be a vid on it is still making me Die
Probably a great day until some random guy called you a douche-face.
@Jazzministrator thank you. Much appreciated 😇
I've been watching the other two for awhile now and met them two years ago at this same event, but I will now be adding a sub to you as well. After this panel you can guess what video I'll be searching for first. :D
Consider your channel subbed by me after finding out about this panel talk!
Clint: "The crown jewel of my collection is registered shareware!"
Clint is the crown jewel of retro tech RUclips.
Mine would be my IBM 5100, which I gave awa 25 years agoy. Funny - the same guy I gave the IBM 5100 to is giving me a VAX tho', 25 years later. I just need to go pick it up. Maybe it will be ny new jewel of my collection!
David's Texan accent shines through every now and again. I like it
I went to David's house a few years ago and he was very welcoming. Had a great time. Very impressed with his hospitality.
I came here through a link in the 8-Bit Guy's presentation video from this festival. I thought at first I'd listen to 10 minutes of it and then watch the rest later. Glad you enjoyed it, it was a pleasure to put on.
Such a WONDERFUL panel, glad that the rest of the world can see it too now. Thanks for posting this. Trixster, you're an awesome facilitator.
finally - a piece of content where clint is the alpha male!!
joking aside - loved this panel. probably the nerdiest thing i'll watch all year and i have no shame
I like Clint's old vids as well as new because it shows the evolution.
Dude seeing Clint and David in person together is great
This was my first VCF, and I had a great time. Thanks to everyone for being so gracious; this panel was a lot of fun.
I think this kind of enthusiasm is what hobbies need.
Thanks for hosting and for sharing here, such a great panel! It's great to hear that these guys who I've been watching for 10+ years and who have inspired a lot of us to take the same path are just muddling through like the rest of us - and I certainly don't mean any disrespect by that. 🙂
Love your videos too!

I wish I would have known you were there!
I love how these 3 guys are really the best.
Clint looks like he's at a pre-MMA fight press conference and may start flipping tables and kicking ass at any moment.
LGR has a very likable personality. He seems like a genuine person.
Pretty entertaining and informative panel that I was glad to witness. Great seeing my favorite creators in-person!
So great to be able to finally hear this! Thank you so much for posting!
Clint is a natural comic 👍🏻
This was a great panel this year.
Was fun to actually have an in person vcf again this year.
I love these sorts of things! Great insights - thanks, you guys!
what a panel, clint, ken AND david? All in the same room?
Thank goodness the universe didn’t implode.
An important thing that sets them apart is that they are very good at talking, there are hardly any "eh" "ah" pauses or stuttering. Anybody can think it is easy to do videos, but most people don't have a good voice or the oratory skills to do it interesting like these guys.
8bitguy / david is total dad vibes, especially on his channel. i love it.
In regards to David’s comments about people wanting perfection. My opinion is I love all his videos and look forward to each one so people need to chill out. They all seem well researched and put together

The LGR Printshop Video was my favorite, e-v-e-r.
Aww.. Clint... I LOVE Print Shop and that was a great video! :-)
The titans of retro computer youtube all sitting at the same table. That was awesome.
I love Clint. Such an awesome, dry sense of humour.
It's truly amazing to see all these great people talk!
This was great, thank you guys!
This was really cool! Thank you.
Clint has the best voice
Makes me cringe, he always sounds like he’s trying to voiceover a movie trailer.
Thanks Clint for bringing this to my attention. Quite enjoyed this panel!
Thank you for putting chapters in the description
Awesome panel! Thanks Clint, Ken and David for enduring this, and VCF Midwest for putting them through it ;)
I've really enjoyed this the further the video goes along. They're all hard cases, good at spinning a yarn. And great questions from the interviewer and audience
Thanks for the video. I missed this while I was there.
Always love watching these things and its great to see them coming back now that the world is starting to get back to normal.
Just amazing and informative and entertaining! Thank you!!!
I remember being excited about the Sinclair C5 video coming, now I know why we didn't see it. Sir Clive just passed away, maybe a good time to revisit it?
Not even joking, but that hour and a half flew right by.
Thanks for all the effort you guys put into your videos
@Clint, David & Ken

That was so much fun to watch! All great RUclipsrs and fantastic moderation too. Thanks so much!
I like Clint's story of rescuing the computers from the school and thinking about David's video of bringing the VIC-20s back from Oklahoma and about going crazy listening to the squeaking styrofoam :-)
Happy to see they're maskless during this panel discussion.
3 of my favorite RUclipsrs in the same video. What a treat!
I really feel that folks that have the chance to attend this type of gathering are quite lucky. Nice talk with very interesting people!
Awesome panel and really discussion! I hope I can visit the show someday ❤️
Great look behind the scenes of a couple of my favourite Retro-RUclipsrs.
Clint: The Print Shop video was awesome! Eff the RUclipss!
all the tech youtubers are just gathered in this panel, i really wanna go there!
1:23:45 Well played, VCF. Well played.
Great panel, thanks for posting this up for us all to enjoy.
Love lgr! I need to start following a few more channels. I am especially nostalgic about tandy, as that's the first computer my family ever had.
Heroes, icons, gentlemen all. Thank you for sharing.
This was a great panel and discussion. Thanks for sharing it!
#LGRNation 💪🏾💪🏾 Clint is one of the best retro guys on RUclips hands down
I really want to see more podcast like this.
From one Curator to another , Thank You :) QC
Omg this is golden! Clint is so funny 🤣
The more flustered David gets the more Texan he sounds.
3 of my favorite youtuber
Phenomenal panel. All of you are fantastic at what you do.
If this isn't sub worthy WTF is? Massive thanks for sharing!
Great panel!
And I'm about to go watch the Print Shop Pro video.
Some great questions out of the crowd I think!
The Woodgrain Expert, The Madman, and The David
53:00 It´s great to hear Dave pointing out the difference of running a channel beeing female. A woman has to endure a lot more of negative feedback and overall garbage running a youtube channel, or any other social media oriented channel or site.
1:07:12 I thought Clint was gonna say: The registered version of WinRar
9:30 As Clint said don't chase. Think you should just put up what you enjoy. If no one watches it so be it.
great panel, and exprience. Thank you
The 8 bit guy restoring the worst Vic 20 ever is one of my favorites videos on RUclips.I watched it so many times.
Two "unobtainiums" that i would love for any of you guys to do a video about: The Atari Falcon 030, and the elusive SAM Coupé. Both are really expensive and really wonderful machines.
"Crazy Ken" sounds like the name of a guy that sells used cars or maybe hi-fi equipment.
Yeah and who would think hes just a boiled egg looking nerd man.

This was awesome.
My favorite cringe video of David is the video of him talking about his daily life where he’s running in the park in jeans with his Jurassic park t-shirt.
This was great 👍
41:17 OMG CLINT I HAD ONE OF THOSE! I gave it to a 'friend' and he left it out in the rain and ruined it.
Clint is clearly so much more popular than the other two on this panel. I think it's because viewers can tell that he's a better person.
Clint is really killing it here! "U pRAnK PeoPLe, bRo?" 😀😀
- How do you feel that you brought this hobby to the masses?
- Great...
Brilliant.
Send by LGR
David's foot dances around just like mine lol
I could talk about PrintShop and the Sinclair C5 all day long... and tomorrow.
"Vacuum Tubes are cool", except when they are hot
Very interesting conversation.

Hold up... you have a Music Feature Card? I am intrigued.
R.I.P. Sir Clive
I am wondering if there isn't some guy who watched this video, and stopped in the middle going "Oh crap! That was me! I'm urinal guy!"
EPIC!
Thanks to whoever asked LGR about collaborating more with Pushing Up Roses.
A little surprised how much physically larger Clint is than Ken and David.
