Based on the editing, ESB is about Luke getting lost on an ice world and going on a vision quest that teaches him how to move things with his mind, while Han and Leia try to find him, leading the Rebels to Hoth for a big final battle and confrontation with Vader. It's like the whole movie is implied to run in reverse. Very nice.

He left his training camp to go save his friends but his friends actually ended up having to save him and ultimately didnt do much besides find out sooner that Vader was his father. This was the biggest lesson Luke had been given in all of the original trilogy. He was worried about Han, and Leia, but if he had just been patient he could have finished his training way sooner and gotten to Vader quicker on a more even playing field as far as skill goes.

This is amazing. If I saw a trailer for this today, without ever having seen this movie, I would be jumping up and down with glee. Knowing that it previews such a masterpiece of a movie, this is genius.
This trailer is honestly awesome, like I thoroughly enjoyed it, you did a really great job with this. And it is such an accurate representation of a modern take on a trailer for an old movie, that it actually highlighted something that I don't like about modern trailers, and that's spoilers. Like if you actually watch the original trailer, it gives absolutely nothing away, barely even a single line of dialogue, but within 30 seconds of this one, you see Obi Wan as a force ghost, which was never seen before this movie. There's plenty more examples. One thing this does an awesome job of though is showing just how awesome this film was in just 2 and a half minutes. Btw not hating on the creator!! Honestly this trailer is so sick, I just found it funny how it made me think like that.
Best? Debatedly, personally it's my second favourite next to AOTC. Greatest? That goes to ANH (it's the most influential film in the saga therefore, the "greatest").
@@VinVonVoom It seems that to most people think it is the best. Sure many people have other favorites and I prefer the first, but I don't doubt that Empire is most popular amongst fans.
@@stephenkeen5737 I agree, but I don't think that clasifies it's "greatness". If you asked George he'd probably say THX 1138 is the greatest film he's made. Citizen Cane is considered a great film mainly because of what it meant to media consumption as a whole (not to dog on Citizen Cane, it's a really good movie). Similarly, while ESB has a similar legendary stature, it doesn't quite have the impact that ANH does.
@@VinVonVoom true is the innovation sense. But in that case you could only judge the first in any series as the best I guess. I hate Citizen Kane. Thought it was a boring as fuck.
Disney hasn't been ALL bad. Rogue One, Mandalorian, Rebels... It's only the movies KK meddled with that truly sucked. Even TFA wan't all that bad, it just looks like crap NOW, since we know it doesn't lead anywhere.

@@qwertypop343 Disney retconned the series for the Clone Wars? You mean the show that started in 2008, well before Disney had a hand in Lucasfilm? That Clone Wars?
That's how a trailer should be done, hits the major parts of the movie without showing what they actually are, just enough that when watching the film you could say "I saw this in the trailer" Not like modern trailers that are basically a cliffsnotes version of the entire movie
@Crusty783 Zanshin's point, I believe, is that movies 7-9 are dogshit and therefore not *true* Start Wars movies. That's why he said "apparently you didn't read my comment [closely]." It is hard to argue against that point.
Well I was there in 1980...and watched it in the cinema! 😁 Can you imagine, we waited 3 years, if you caught the original trailer on tv you were lucky, most of us had no clue. Took me a week to come down from the high afterwards. In my opinion this is the best movie by a long way, the more recent (post 1983- except Rogue One) are all poor attempts to capture the original mood, energy, atmosphere, etc ....They're pretty crap in comparison. I gave up on the last 2.
By and large, I agree. I'm not a huge fan of the prequel trilogy, but I do like that we got the story of how the emperor was able to seize power from the republic, and more importantly, we learn the what caused Anakin's downfall and made him turn to the dark side. As far as the sequel trilogy, we do not speak of it. In my world episodes VII - IX never happened. The entire saga was concluded with Return of the Jedi.
So true. If the first few seconds of modern trailers seem interesting, I'll close my eyes and hum a little, so I can still enjoy the movie when it's actually released.
Actually, Rogue One's soundtrack has been available for about 40 years... watch A New Hope when Obi Wan gives Luke his father's Light Saber on Tattooine... there's a short musical snipet that John Williams did during that scene... which is was the baseline for the entire Rogue One soundtrack (you here the same tune over and over in Rogue One, it's the same as used in A New Hope during that one scene). Check it out... ruclips.net/video/-oJxlt5nH-U/видео.html

He was worried about Han, and Leia, but if he had just been patient he could have finished his training way sooner and gotten to Vader quicker on a more even playing field as far as skill goes.
@Leewilldofine bad joke bro
I ENJOY EVERY “time” that I get to Watch Episode Five!
“bro”?
Some of your best work mate 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
One of the first movies I went to theatre to see. Can't believe it's been 40 years
Yay another the revenge of the sith was sooo good
00:30. “Hello There”
Bro this was Amazing Trailer for the Empire strikes back you are a true man who never gives up on making Awesome Star Wars trailers & keeping the beloved Fan's supporting you with your hard work hope you have a great Friday May the force be with you always 😄😁💝
This is amazing. If I saw a trailer for this today, without ever having seen this movie, I would be jumping up and down with glee. Knowing that it previews such a masterpiece of a movie, this is genius.
Thanks ❤️
"arguably the greatest Star Wars Film EVER MADE!" Not, arguably... is!
I still prefer the first one. Nicely rounded and takes me back I guess.
'obi wan never told you what happened to your father...' *end trailer"
Oooooh... now THAT gave me the chills!!!🥶
Alright...This One Gave Me Chills..
Honestly I don't see the appeal...
More than Hoth?
Who doesn't like this seriously, this bring tears to my eyes. The greatest movie in cinema history.
Fantastic! It made me feel like I was young and longing for that premiere date again. Awesome! It truly is a fine job you’ve done there. Thank you! 🙏
Me: I love this trailer
AD_edits: I know...
This made it feel like a whole new movie.
I agree. I love this trailer. It actually makes me want to watch ESB again.
This touched my inner child.
Can Disney go to jail now.
Disney hasn't been ALL bad. Rogue One, Mandalorian, Rebels... It's only the movies KK meddled with that truly sucked. Even TFA wan't all that bad, it just looks like crap NOW, since we know it doesn't lead anywhere.
@@andyb1653 stop defending Disney they retconned the series for the Clone Wars
@@qwertypop343 I apologize profusely for looking on the bright side instead of focusing on the negative.
Plz go away, I'll defend whomever I want. The problem was Kathleen Kennedy, not Disney, and always has been.
@@qwertypop343 Disney retconned the series for the Clone Wars? You mean the show that started in 2008, well before Disney had a hand in Lucasfilm? That Clone Wars?
AMAZING! Can't wait to show it to my children :))))
I have seen this movie more times than I care to count... And this still gave me the chills!
That's how a trailer should be done, hits the major parts of the movie without showing what they actually are, just enough that when watching the film you could say "I saw this in the trailer"
Not like modern trailers that are basically a cliffsnotes version of the entire movie
The only problem I have with this trailer is that it says "December", when all true Star Wars films are released in May.
If it was released now, though, it would be December.
December is the new May.
@Crusty783 Apparently you didn't read my comment.
@Crusty783 Zanshin's point, I believe, is that movies 7-9 are dogshit and therefore not *true* Start Wars movies. That's why he said "apparently you didn't read my comment [closely]."
It is hard to argue against that point.
Star Wars movies in UK were released at Christmas
This makes me want to watch Empire AGAIN for the
50th-ish time. Glad I can do that thanks to my Disney+ subscription!!
What makes it modern is that they show you the whole movie.
So true. If the first few seconds of modern trailers seem interesting, I'll close my eyes and hum a little, so I can still enjoy the movie when it's actually released.
If this was made now, they would show the clip of Luke in Vader’s helmet. For the clicks
Amazing footage sequence. Just missing John Williams 😢
Rogue One had the best score for a recent Star Wars film.
Massive Star Wars fan and this just took all the way back. Want to see this film so much. Can't wait for its release. Oh to be young again. Awesome Buddy.
Honestly great job, had me checking to see if they were releasing a remastered cut this December LOL
This trailer alone is better than the entire Disney Star Wars trilogy.
Showing Leia and Han kissing reveals too much but otherwise this is perfect.
They’re kissing in the poster so nothings really spoiled
I personally like Return of the Jedi the most so I’m hyped for that one
Coming Friday
The lightsaber in the snow moving gave me chills for some reason. Good trailer
Your trailers give me goosebumps and I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched all the movies, good job.
People: rebels
RUclips, EA, Disney: empire
People: toxic empire
RUclips, EA, Disney: syndicate fucking shit .
0:58 - you've missed great occasion to show Yoda reaction for "great warrior" 😉 Still, easy to criticize, hard to make, so... great job!
This and Rogue One are the best movies in the whole franchise.
What about revenge of the sith?
Okay so I've seen Empire... I can't remember how many times - too many my wife will say, but this genuinely gets me excited and makes me want to watch it again. Great job 👍🏻
I hope this movie makes it big. I mean, the battles, the flying spaceships and the robots!!
That's a name I've not heard for a long, long time. A very long time.
If you strike me down, I'll become stronger than you can possibly imagine!
To be nitpicky, why does it say "This December" instead of "This May"? Otherwise, it's dead on!
Star Wars movies always release in December
@@themiddlepath8939 Umm.... No. Every Star Wars movie until The Force Awakens was released in May... Including The Empire Strikes Back.
It's not the correct month of release. However, I think December was used because " D E C E M B E R " looks stronger on screen than " M A Y ".
@@jasonblair4673 Oh really?! I didnt know that. My mistake.
Oooh, a preview that doesn't give the story away !
And is compelling to bring the audience in !
OMG these are getting me super psyched like I need to watch them again. Great job on them all. Excitement, misdirection and no spoilers!
