He did not come into the world to give us religion but to restore mankind's relationship with God that was lost when he listened to and believed the lies of satan instead of believing what Father God said. Because of this disobedience sin entered the world and spiritual death came upon man. God had to send the Messiah, the last Adam, Jesus to redeem mankind from sin through his death on the cross; which is why we must believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ in order to be saved. Jesus said "You must be born again." This is a supernatural act that takes place when you confess with your mouth and believe with your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. (Romans 10:9) When you do this, the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of your spirit to give you power over the sin nature.
