Never knew my dad n mom was always too busy doing her own thing. My grandparents took me in as a baby n raised me and they're who I call/called my parents. Grandfather passed away a few years ago from cancer but my grandmother is still here. I moved back in with her after he passed away so she wouldn't be alone since my aunt's n uncles are worthless n only want her money. She always tells me not to put my life on hold for her but being here for her is my life. My condolences for your loss man.

I dont know or care if it was his intent or not, this song makes me think about, among many other things, losing/missing one's father ("father why you have to take my only father" and "my ouija board never said a thing" mainly).
So today, I got a ouija board. This song got me thinking; what if I end up making contact with my dad? I dont know how I'd feel about that. Yes, I miss him and I've thought about him everyday for the past 8.5 years, but it would feel like I'm talking to a stranger. Maybe it's best if the ouija board doesnt say anything, at least not about my father. I miss him everyday, but I know i would have grown up a different person had he lived. I was 9 when he died, I'm 18 now. He would be proud of me overall, but I've also done some shit he wouldn't like. Is anyone else afraid of contacting deceased loved ones? It's such a weird thing to think about

I need closure, but like you, it's a weird feeling. But, you never know what your actually getting when you play with spirits. It can be dangerous.

Sweetheart don't. My father passed away from stage 4 colon cancer (will be three years ago tomorrow) I held his hand as he passed away, as the "come backs" turned into "it's okay to let go" . I understand your pain and how unbearable it becomes missing him. A Ouija board isn't the answer though, there's many spirits good and bad on the other side that'll say anything and convince you for bias motives. Just imagine he's beside you and speak. Just my opinion and what helps me.
First of all, my personal opinion, is that Ouija boards *can* cause more problems & *rarely* give a person the closure that they seek (such as being able to speak to a deceased loved one, like in your situation)....
BUT everyone has their own opinion & nobody should force anyone else to conform to an opinion they don't want to.
That said, *should* you continue with your plans of using it...
i would highly suggest making sure you know what your possibly getting into (what "worst case senerios" could arise) & that you don't "cut corners" when your done (in other words make sure to specifically tell whatever you contact that you are "finished speaking " and "goodbye" - otherwise it could stick around and cause problems & you *could* possibly have trouble getting it to leave you alone)....
Oh... and don't give it the answers to the questions you ask.... ask open ended questions:
Ex: who are you?/ what's your name? ✅
(Instead of) : Dad? Are you here? ❌
And remember... there's no guarantee on who/ what you'll contact....
