@@stevencrippen6609 these guitars sing. I own 2 custom cyclops with grizzly and slugwolf pickups and they are strung with 10s and tuned standard(i know, blasphemy...right?) I use them for 60s garage and 70s johnny thunders tones and they work for that as well as anything heavy. Truly the best guitars i ever owned. I sold everything except my original Gretsch Corvette made in 1963 since it inspired the cyclops
I think I just found my favourite guitar company. The fact that they offer their models in 27.5" scale is huge for me as I love using light strings but don't wanna deal with the intonation issues a 24.75 and 25.5 scale guitar would have at Bb Standard tuning. I just got one of these in a trade. I had no idea the pot popped out! Really appreciate the detail you went into here, I've never owned a guitar with humbuckers but I'm loving how beefy it sounds
Great demo Steve!!! I did see your demo a while back of the R 2, I really like the Cyclops better though. In a world where money was no object, I’d love to own a Dunable. Unfortunately that’s not the world I live in, I can dream about it though. Keep up the great work brother!!!🤘🤘🤘

@@shadowtheneoson6605 I couldn't be happier with this guitar. It plays and sounds amazing. Plus it looks amazing and the build quality fit and finish is very nice. If your thinking of getting one I would highly recommend it.

You were early and lucky enough to get a yarnhawk?! Get a cyclops next. I own 2 custom cyclops and they are the best guitars i have ever owned. I sold my 73 gibson sg and 65 fender mustang once i got them. I only now own the two cyclops and a 1963 made Gretsch Corvette. I only kept the Gretsch because it inspired the cyclops and looks bitchen sitting next to them haha
@@Releasethebats123 First 7 string Dunable too. Got it back in 2015 before the company started growing more rapidly. The thing roars like a beast and can shred as well as an Ibanez! I definitely want a Cyclops, but also an R2. Not sure what I'd get next. Possibly a 7-string Cyclops with a Hipshot tremolo, but at some point I also want a 6-string R2. And a Yeti at some point. I want all of them LOL - except the Asteroid; Dunable's version is awesome and for sure my favourite; I'm just not into the Flying V shape.
These look so badass, although the cyclops is not favorite dunable shape. If they end up doing the asteroid in the DE series I will buy it without even thinking
Awesome. I ordered my R2 DE in November, still have a few months before they ship but this video made me more confident in my purchase! What fuzz are you using in this video? Sounded amazing.
Does It Doom? I thought I only saw a single volume and tone on it and it looked brown from all the way back there, thought it was one of those SG Specials from ages ago with the bolt-on neck. Actually now I’m curious as to how one of those would work for doom!!

I've never played a Dunable, so I can't say, but are they really worth the price point? People seem to go crazy over them, but none of the specs or designs blow me away. Like, there's nothing wrong with them, and of course custom shop guitars are going to be pricy, but a basic guitar like this with cheap electronics and hardware, I don't see why it wouldn't be $500-600 max. When you're competing between the price point of Epiphone Prophecies, PRS S2, Schecter Apocalypse, and LTD 1000 series guitars, I feel like you've gotta offer more.
I played one a few days ago. Quality and craftsmanship is on par with Made in Japan Premium Ibanez or other guitars around 2-3k. Never played a smoother feeling neck and the fretwork was flawless. I'm into bolt on neck guitars with Fender style bridges, so I shouldn't be into a Dubable....but I ordered one a couple of days ago, as it haunted me not geting one immediatly. They really are that good!
@@DoesItDoom I’d like to see it. I have enquired about getting a asteroid made to put a obscura neck on but they want the neck and blah blah to fit it up.... But I really don’t feel like mailing them 1k neck rn to do it around the holidays.

Great options.
Beautiful guitar. The fact that they will string and set up the guitar in whatever tuning you prefer is awesome .
Yeah, I love that they are doing that.
Honestly , it’s a cool option for those of those who use alternate tunings and odd string gauges that cannot do their own setups.

Hows the tuning stability on that gibson style 3:3 headstock? Are the D and G nut slots cut at an angle from what you can tell?

Better quality than current studio type stuff for sure. I’d say quality is overall similar to an SG Standard. Great value imo.
