Thank you the video! I missed this part of the explanation in my Natural Biology class... this helped me get up to speed and was very similar to my professors explanations.
Vidya Vidz Well I know oxidation is another word for rust. So on Mars you see its red. That's actually from the large quantity of iron in the planet that has come in contact with the elements in air. You also wld see that on pennies bcse copper rusts. These are actually procedures of Chemical Weathering.
It's also called 'Frost Wedging' maybe where you live it's called freeze thaw, but where I live we call it 'Frost Wedging'. It basically means the same thing, but different areas probably call it different things. I hope I helped you understand what he meant.
Tumaini Mwamfupi Physical Weathering is the actual physical breakup of rocks. vs. chemical weathering which is when a rock's chemical composition in the rock is changed due to natural/environmental factors.
My teacher wanted me to watch this video it’s really great thanks 😊
This dude still makes videos nowadays and teaches us this stuff 10 years later, massive respect!

My teacher calls it “frost wedging” She posted this video for our class. Doesn’t really matter what you call it.

vs.
chemical weathering which is when a rock's chemical composition in the rock is changed due to natural/environmental factors.
Well chemical weathering Úsally changes the rock but physcal weathering usally does something to the rock but the rock is still the same
