Hi Katie, First of all, Happy Birthday! So glad to hear that I'm not the only one who can't figure out the Dyson Airwrap. I've tried everything to get the curls to stay with no luck either. I just returned from an 11-day cruise to the Caribbean and my hair was mostly in a ponytail or bun. Now I know why they sell hats that say "Cruise hair, don't care", lol. I will definitely use the QuickSilver and some additional TLC.
Hi, Betsy! yeah, the Airwrap is so annoying - I love it for drying my hair and smoothing it - and the curls look great when they first happen, it’s just that they don’t last. If I ever figure out a trick, I’ll let you know. Good luck with your cruise hair issue :-)
Sorry to hear what happened to you! But remember dry hair is not as bad as almost finishing your transition and have all your hair yellow!. That's what happened to me. I'm starting my transition all over again but to get rid of the yellow. So dry hair doesn't seem that bad! And you have amazing hair even when it's dry!!!!!!! Love your content! Hugs from Uruguay.
Thank you! Great point. So many things can go wrong once your hair is fully gray - I’ve seen so many women have their hair ruined either by severe yellowing or by having a hairstylist who doesn’t understand how to treat gray hair.
Just found your channel and I hit subscribe so fast. I love your hair and your tips but I haven't turned gray yet. I suspect it's my mom's genes because she had very little gray even at 70. I'm 60 and I see a few but it's probably 1% overall. I think it looks fantastic on women. Love your outlook.

I find the days I don’t wanna wash a lot in a place like Vegas I would do braids, pig tails, or loose space buns. We gotta be easy maintenance and it helps to stay cool. I look terrible in a single pony tail pulled back for some reason, I need hair on the sides of my face, I have a heart shaped face.
What about clear semipermanent and Brazilian blowout on top? That’s what i was doing when color and hair was sleek shiny and protected. If grey means not being blue to style your hair, expose it to sun, etc etc, seems too many diminishing returns
Yeah, some people have had good luck using those treatments on gray hair, but I’ve mainly heard a lot of regret from women who’ve done them. Gray hair does need to be protected and you don’t always exactly know how it’s going to react to different treatments. So that might not be for you.
I’m going through the same thing… using my hot tools (hairdryer & flat iron) too much 😬 ! My hair just looks best after I wash it if I use them so it’s hard to not use them 😩. The struggle is real 😂 Happy Birthday 🎂🎉🥳… 🥰

BTW, after watching several of your videos earlier in the week, I decided to transitioned to my silvers again. I tried to join Silver Resolution; my notification said I was denied which was my oversight, I answered the 2 questions but forgot to check the "follow the rules" box; I tried again 2 days later and clicked the box but never heard back so I cancelled. All is good though, have a very Happy Birthday Silver Sister! (I'm in for another long "cold turkey" journey).

This whole thing about fragile is not good. I was stopping color because it was damaging, but now, if not infusing the hair w color makes it more weak, and you want heatstule- forget it!
Everybody’s hair is different. I haven’t found my own hair to be much more fragile. I do have to worry about yellowing, but I’ve actually heard from women who don’t mind the yelling and so they don’t worry about protecting their hair. It’s really a personal thing.
Agreed! I keep meaning to do a video about how to take care of your hair when you’re in pain or sick. I’ve had a lot of couple surgeries in the past couple years, but I don’t know if I remember all of the tips I learned…

My go-to for my dry ends is Trader Joe’s argan oil. I oil up the ends after I apply my other styling products.
