Lovely tribute indeed. Not sure how big of a fan of the Beatles he was, but he would come out of the 7:55 news (first fast five minutes sooner) with the same lineup: first the ad "it pays to save at the Bowery" followed by "Blame it on the Bossa Nova" by Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme. More than anything there was his magnificent voice. Calm, warm, resonant, never overbearing or show off-y.
