As I said in my previous comment, Isabella is way too aggressive in her advances, especially considering that Enzo will get the WORST punishment if they get caught. She does not risk NEARLY as much as Enzo, and we can discuss Torrisi being a bully. Still, at the end of the day, we're talking about keeping order in a place with bandits and cutthroats in the hills that do NOT care UNLESS you show yourself to be a wolf with teeth and the numbers to make yourself too big a threat for them to care.
As much as I understand her frustrations about being a piece in this shady life, I absolutely am not going to cosign her privileged perspective on many things and statements that really show she's not thinking about the whole picture or from Enzo's side. This is why I loved Sarah, Tommy's girl in Mafia 1, she knew the life he was in and was much more sly with it than Isabella, she was a part of the gritty boots on the ground nature of the mafia life, and she kept Tommy grounded in his life; she didn't force any mindsets on him, but she certainly steered him towards the better.
Omg thank you!! That’s what I’ve been thinking. I understand her but she definitely isn’t thinking. When she said she was willing to lose everything, what is “everything” for her? Because to her, it could just mean her father’s trust or her status. For Enzo, it could mean his LIFE. Not to mention how sloppy she is on keeping the secret lol. Breaking into his house (what if he was bringing someone with him??), kissing him in the garden, can we at least **try** to keep a secret 😭?? I think her being the Dons daughter kind of makes her feel like she’s untouchable, or she just gets excited from the idea of rebellion.
I agree. Shes not thinking about the consequences, but also Enzo knows the risks and he's still allowing himself to get caught up with her. He has the most to lose, which is why he shouldn't even be in this predicament to begin with. He could lose everything, and all shed get is a scolding.
AGREED!!! Sarah wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty at all, and wasn’t as out of touch as Isabella is. All the Dons gonna do is get upset at her, as his daughter. Enzo might get completely vaporized bruh (seeing as that’s definitely a violation of the family) and that’s the end of his story. I really need to see what happens next.
Well I hope my own hypothesis about her desperate recklessness explains her character further as a woman who grew up in a conservative muslim household as an apostate. Isabelle is essentially, let’s be honest an extremely privileged spoiled girl WHOEVER… she has been indeed sheltered throughout her whole entire life after her mother’s passing by her acquisitive aka possessive father. I understand where her constant starvation for thrill comes from, it’s almost like she enjoys the fact that shes in control of something for once by having a second life, a second identity that isn’t coordinated by her father and that it could be taken away from her at any second by revealing it to the world. It gives her a false sense of autonomy because she obviously lacked extreme free self expression unlike her cousin who was been permitted to openly express his personality until when it came to business. Let’s face it, it’s also partly because she is a woman, and us women we’re not viewed as individualistic and independent enough to make our own decisions unlike for men. We’re seen as a representation as an imagination (for example, whenever a woman gets brutally sexually assaulted, the first thing that automatically comes to people’s minds is, what if that was my mother, my sister, my hypothetical nonexistent daughter? etc. because we’re seen as human through our relationship with men or either a patrichal god) And yes, she could actually lose just as much as enzo, her freedom could be stripped away from her she wouldn’t just receive a scolding. This isn’t me completely invalidating your reasons as to why you dislike her, I agree, but I just see myself in her too much so I really do understand why she normally does all the reckless bs. It’s freeing despite how stupid it sounds.
@yeeebhop9012I certainly understand her perspective and why she does what she does, though what I don't like about her is the lack of subtlety and manipulation she uses on Enzo in the beginning; she almost preys on the fact that he's fresh from the brutal mines and dying for freedom, so she questions him about knowing himself. It's a stark difference to Sarah, who didn't grow up privileged like Isabella but was still held back by being a woman in the 1930s, while still being in the Mafia life with an abusive mother, was a ride or die for Tommy, and very much understood his position while advocating for him to leave something in this world to be proud of.

Ah man, the way this story is going... Unless Enzo is a prominent char from another game, id put money on his story ending very badly. Either Enzo ends up being the animal Don Torrisi wants him to be and he loses Isabella to him being her daddy's yes man, or he goes after Isabella and risks perceived betrayal from the Don so that Isabella can live her dream of being free from under her dads thumb.
The thing is.... Enzo wants to be free too. I wonder when (if ever) he realizes that he traded one slave master for another. Between a rock and hard place doesnt even begin to describe what homies dealing with rn. Unless Enzo steps to the Don like a man and tells him how much he loves his daughter, hes in trouble, but in him doing so he loses his opportunity to run and be out from under Don Torrisi"s thumb as well.
Also im calling it rn, Cesare is gonna turn on his uncle to take power before its rightfully given to him because everyone around him thinks him incompetent. And then the Don is gonna tell Enzo to deal with it.

Berlin needs to make the connection that Leo is Leo Galante from mafia 2, the old consigliere who vito met in Prison, and that Luca is the father of Sam from mafia 1, you can even see sam in the kitchen helping out. I think that connection of the games gives more depth to the characters and the choices they make

Leo Galante is the old man from Mafia 2 that helped Vito get out of jail, and helped save his life in the ending. Sallieri (the file you read in jail) is the Don from Mafia: The Definitive Edition, and Luca and Valentina's son is Sam Trapani, the same sam from Mafia: The Definitive Edition that kills Paulie and tries to kill Tommy. 1:19:51 and that's Frank Vinci, he's in Mafia 2 as well. Very small role so you might not remember him.

@opticpx Leo Galante is a character from mafia 2.. he's much older in that game and acts as a sort of mentor type character. The salieri guy is "the don" type figure in mafia 1 that acts as your boss type shit. The character Luca has a kid named sam that appears briefly in the game and hes a character from the first mafia game. Those are the only ones I know of so far.

berlin just to increase your level of immersion, leo is leo gallante from mafia 2 (the old man), u can connect it with his father don gallante if that helps. salleri is the don from mafia 1. giuseppe in mafia 2 as well as u can visit his shop and is seen in some story missions.
