Some of my ancestors come from this village. Their gravestone is opposite the church entrance doorway. They lived in the house above the harbour with the small tower, you can see it in the first few seconds of the video.
Thanks Debbie. Porthleven faces the prevailing south west winds and has become one of the UK’s most famous destinations for storm watching. One winter the waves measured 40ft! That is why it has a double harbour.

@thewayfarerswalk wow! I would love to sit on a bench and watch the tide come in, and see all the boats start floating.
Great place to visit- would definitely recommend as such a great vibrant atmosphere when we visited as a family.
