It bugs me when Americans feel the need to add the country to a major international capital city, simply because some tiny town in America (or as I discovered recently Canada, looking at you London, Ontario) has the same name. Why not assume people are taking about the important one, and only clarify when it isn't the capital city of a country.

The instant I saw the image of the wiki for the Humuhumunukunukuapuaa fish, I immediately said aloud "Oh, the Humuhumunukunukuapuaa!" I've literally never checked what they look like. When I was a very young child my family visited Hawaii. The easiest way to learn how to say Humuhumunukunukuapuaa is to listen to the song "Little Grass Shack," a popular song there (at least it was in the 1960s). You can break it down: humu humu, nuku nuku a puaa. (That being said, I've never been able to pronounce Kealakekua, from the same song...) 😉
Honestly, it looks more like the hasbro toy of the e-11 blaster lol. The dimensions are just too deformed to be a real sterling submachine gun based e-11.

Well, actually the second Kenner version because the original actually had the folding stock, the later releases didn't include it, although the attachment points for it are still there. You can clearly see the little lug for it under the muzzle of the barrel. Oh, and by the way, the toy is actually VERY close in dimensions to a real Sterling. It's only about half an inch shorter.

Finally. Finally, this movie gets covered. I saw it once late at night on showtime back in the early 90’s and I was starting to think I just dreamt it, but no. The zooming in on the stupid body glove wetsuit, the crutch gun, the guy doing a rolling flip in the grass while running for no reason at all, these things were burned into my memory with just one viewing.
Great new film review Cecil, of a film I have never heard of. but I definitely want to watch it now. I hope they re-release it on dvd/blu-ray in the uk, someday. :)
One thing you can say about these movies, you will never end the movie hungry, with all the beekcake and cheesecake you're stuffed full by the time the credits roll....nothing like a good meal with no calories. I like the idea.
Okay, the snorkel joke at the end made me burst... :D Gotta admit, those movies all look much better as they have any right to, considering the short shooting time. They deliver when it counts. I love Sedaris' movies. Great examples of "so bad it's good" for sure, and man, Cynthia Brimhall... It's a shame there's not a lot more movies like these. Just some stupid fun with pretty people and some sexy times.

Despite what videogames teach you, shotguns are actually quite accurate due to their long barrel. Picking the right ammo is of course also beneficial.
