Now plenty of county jails and prisons have tablets for inmates that they give you with headphones, so you can use your 1 free call a day from your cell on your tablet. No more fighting over phone time, YES of course there is wifi. You can put books on the tablet, play games, use it to study, etc. The only time you don't have your tablet with you is when it's charging. Jail and Prison is absolutely keeping up with modern technology, albeit a little lagged behind due to the red tape involved.
