They had so much more depth than Klaus and Caroline. Joseph was too talented as an actor, so whoever that was for Caroline seemed so out of place and 2 dimensional. Or maybe the writers intended to keep Caroline 2 dimensional. She was one of the worst and most out of place characters. I mainly wanted Klaus and Hayley but after seeing him with Camille, I believe they would have been amazing as well. Klaus and Caroline was a forced pairing that seemed so childish, cheesy, and weak. Caroline wrecked the character of Klaus. Why did the writers even bother with them? It makes no sense. Klaus and Caroline made no sense. Oh well, missed opportunity for Klaus altogether. Writers can be so good at missing a great story and a potentially phenomenal character.
