Around 2015 I believe I downloaded a few mixtapes one of them being " it's better this way " by KRIT. I had gotten a new job where I was in an office by myself from 9:00 to 5:00 everyday. I would get these clients who were coming in for fuel assistance, maybe 7:00 to 10 appointments per day averaging about an hour of work. I would always have instrumentals or lo-fi chill type hip hop in the background when I worked and it would be very low so that it was inaudible when customers were there. But that mixtape, by KRIT turn me into a huge fan. I was on everything after that. Really thinking how crazy it is that he's that underrated in my opinion. I always be a fan now from whatever I've heard until the present day that body of work is great enough for me if he decided to stop wrapping right now.
The fact that Russ got big K.R.I.T on a song... already knew it was going to be dope!

And played it fora hr straight lol. He said he made the mix by actually saying the words didn’t use a mixer to repeat the words. And DJ premier put his spin on it. I think that was some real sh!t for him to do, 💯... you’ll never know Russ did it that way. I was listening to some of his interview about this song.
