    Nice video but manufacturer should be ashamed they made it this damn tough to replace a fuse!!

    Why remove all that stuff? Watch the magnetron replacement video - take it out and the thermal fuse is on it. Much easier than disconnecting all the blower stuff! By the way, how about testing the fuse before you assume that is the issue? Just sayin'

    Hello we have an LG Microwave. Our microwave turns on when we press start to heat something example if we click one minute then in a few seconds the light turns off and not heating but timer on display is still going any suggestion? Can it be the the Magnetron Thermal Fuse?

    What is the symptom when the thermal fuse is failing ?
    I have a microwave heating up food at 50% speed as usual.
    Is the problem on the Magnetron or the fuse ? or maybe the capacitor ?

      congtusacto Disconnect the power cord and remove the top grille and control panel and you should be able to gain access to the fuse. That is a good place to start. www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/Microwave-Repair-Help?TLSID=1773

    where is the fuse on the model number JES1142WD03

    So how do I know if its the thermal sensor gone bad? Mine keeps popping fuses. When I place amuse the light fan clock all works. Heat water fuse pops. It may have been used to cook a potato and overheated

    • @repairclinic
      @repairclinic  10 лет назад +1

      If the thermal fuse is bad it will not normally blow the fuse when the magnetron comes on. If the magnetron itself is shorted or the high voltage capacitor is shorted, it can blow a fuse when heating. These things can be checked with a meter but we recommend you have a qualified service person look at them for safety reasons.

      +surapong sivi There is likely a separate fuse for the control panel, my GE had one. It was located right above the control panel under the cover. $1.50 from RadioShack.

    It's funny at this day and age you're still using regular screwdriver instead of a power pocket drill that speeds up the assembly/disassembly time by three times.

      We do that to make sure we don't lose anyone. Not everyone has a drill.

    GE designers solder in the green wire. Now I have to buy a soldering iron to remove it! I will try my big propane torch first!
