      Definitely thinking this will be a very bacloaded season as more than 70% of our seasons storms are likely to occur in September and October. Keeping close watch as it has been strangely quiet.

    Is their still chance major hurricane landfall outer banks this season or not getting late for it what you think will august 31 here grandy nc be wet or dry hops it dry got a big cookout please good news

    • @Meteomark
      @Meteomark  20 дней назад

      There will likely be some tropical moisture near Grandy NC around August 31, but nothing too terribly heavy. There will be a front coming in from the north however so that may bring some showers and thunderstorms but I think Grandy NC will be mostly dry around August 31. If the outer banks gets a hurricane, your best chances would be 2nd to 3rd week of September when the models are indicating potential for tropical systems and moisture to ride up the Southeast coast and exit near NC. Watching very closely.

    Thanks Mark for your dedication and sharing your passion and knowledge. I’m an intellectual attorney and I have one of the biggest cases coming up in Tallahassee, Florida starting the first week of September. We don’t need any cancellations due to hurricanes, and hopefully we can get all of our litigation resolved. It’s in regards to flagship universities in Florida

      @Meteomark  20 дней назад

      Thank you Happy free speech Friday to you too my friend, beautiful day today. So far heavy rain chances aren’t looking that great for your region. Best chance appears to be next Friday and Saturday going into the Labor Day Weekend, and it is more of the scattered thunderstorm variety so definitely more miss than hit. Watching mid September for maybe a pattern shift for a tropical system to ride up our direction. Enjoy your weekend as well and have a safe one.

    Lemme tell you something. September 1979 Florida was hit with one if the most costly and devastated storms of all time. Never count September out. I now live on the southern coast of North Carolina. I've been through a lot of horrible hurricanes and tropical storms. September is sometimes nasty. Quiz time...I mentioned 1979 hurricane. I was born in the middle of that storm. My mother actually named me after it. Who knows the name?

    • @Meteomark
      @Meteomark  20 дней назад +1

      You are right, there have been some really bad hurricanes in September, the worst of this season is likely to come. 1979 hurricane in September that would be David, Hurricane David. That was a hurricane for the record books.

    Have a kid in HI doing some advanced SCUBA training for a couple of months. I gave him the head's up last night about the storms heading his way, along with an additional warning about quakes. Then I saw the headlines this afternoon. Could you cover this dual occurrence? It might be interesting for your viewers.

    • @Meteomark
      @Meteomark  17 дней назад +1

      That is a great idea, I will have to cover this dual occurrence. It is interesting as there are a lot of Pacific areas having quake warning. Pacific seems to be becoming alive with storms as well. Thanks for posting and I will look into covering it. Thanks for watching.

      @@Meteomark You might like Dr. Bill McGuire's book "Waking the Giant" - I read it about 10 years ago so it may need a bit of updating, considering the accelerating in just about everything geophysical. Also note, the change in air pressure can trigger things too I believe - I noticed a small quake just before a hurricane hit HI a number of years ago. Japan is right to be concerned.

    Could new Orleans get a hurricane this year

    • @Meteomark
      @Meteomark  18 дней назад

      It is looking very possible as we get into the 2nd week of September through late September, as the Gulf really starts to become a lot more active. No guarantee it will hit New Orleans directly, but I am thinking around 2 to 4 hurricanes at least forming in the Gulf as we get into September, and those could come north toward the Gulf Coast, especially the North Central Gulf Coast in the vicinity or near New Orleans. Water temperatures are very concerning off the Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas coastlines right now, running very high.

  • @7empest376
    @7empest376 20 дней назад +1

    Looks like September is going to be a nightmare. Season has been a let down for now. However looks to start getting active.

    • @Meteomark
      @Meteomark  20 дней назад

      I definitely agree, it has been almost too quiet. I have a feeling all hell is about to break lose in September, especially with weakening Saharan dust and warmer sea surface temperatures. Going to watch this closely.
