Thought the same thing when we saw them. They usually are destroyed, especially in the areas around us. But with the amount of damage in this place, ot was relatively intact? Don't know if that's a good phrase, but looks more save'able than most?? They just don't build shit like they used to. And I noticed cliche, but not just the woodwork, detail and pride in what they were doing. But this shit was literally just built to last.. If we were to leave a newer structure open to the elements for less than a decade, it would be completely gone. But something like this,, you could probably rebuild the interior for centuries. Kinda like the English castles that have stood since before any modern history.
We were here recently and it's an amazing place to explore and very beautiful! I heard it's going to be demolished in the near future so glad you got to check this place out :-)
This place was cool. We made the trip down there to check it out a few weeks ago. Long day, but well worth it. Ashame it's going to be demolished, but so many places are these days. That, or some idiots set fire to them😕

There was probably statues up there at one point? But on a more positive note, we stopped at another church on our trip and it was being saved and renovated. Had a few new doors and all brand new windows. Always very happy to see that happening
Yes, me as well. And believe me when I tell you there was a lot more horrible stuff spray painted but i either didn't film it or edited it out. Kids don't know history. They don't know the horrible truths behind what they are writing. It's just funny to them. It's sad 😔
