Honestly I wrote prange as kind of a supportive dumbass, trying to help Brooke get through his trauma, but he ends up getting swept up in the thrill of the bar and makes it more about himself than Brooke, indirectly aiding Sinnoh’s goal to silence Brooke completely. It’s not mischaracterization if there’s no characterization to miss to begin with.
Edit for clarity: I’m not judging you for your beliefs that this is a mischaracterization. I personally didn’t know much about the inner workings of prange’s character while writing, I just wrote what sounded good and fit with the story that cyber gave me. Apologies if I sounded like a jerk, you’re super cool and I hope this doesn’t cause any bad blood between your team and ours

HEAVY SPOILERS FOR OURPLE LORE
after midnight takes place after FOLLOWED, basically OurpleBF/Brooke is heavily traumatized by what happened in FOLLOWED. Faux memories enter his head as a result of the Sinnoh encounter. Grace decides to take him to the MIDNIGHT game (his favorite game) to hopefully help him. They meet up with Prange, and... well, AFTER MIDNIGHT happens.
