The bigger question is. What is manly? What is feminine? These two concepts themselves are archaic terms. I've been known to wear Shalimar and Poison. I've met women who wear Old Spice and JPG Le Male. If you like how something smells, wear it.
These are all great choices, but they are NOT florals. They have floral accords but that's it. Some examples of true floral fragrances are: Une Rose by Frederic Malle Rose Prick by Tom Ford Iris 39 by Le Labo Hiris and Iris Ukiyoe by Hermes Lys Mediterranee by Frederic Malle And so on ...
Nice video. This takes me back to the beginning part of my fragrance journey where I started looking into fragrances on my own, countered with the more niche snobby reviewers. I didn't look at female fragrances but a lot of these reviewers were wearing female fragrances. Eventually I said to myself "you know, these notes are used in men's fragrances, just give it a try." Now I don't even look at the gender. I still find somethings too feminine, in my opinion, but i'ld be missing out on a lot if I didn't try them based on gender marketing. My favorite fragrance is marketed to women, Dior Mitzah.
Totally agree. I love some florals, just bought Jasmin de Pays by Perris Monte Carlo. Its so beautiful, makes me think of walking in a garden at a Buddhist temple high in the clouds. I don't give a shite what anyone else says.

Dior Homme intense is still one of favourites. That being said, Lyric for Men from Amouage had also been rising up my list since last year! I really like the rose note in that.

I made a similar comment on George’s Toy Boy review, but I really do find it intriguing that men would shy away from floral fragrances while stuff like Invictus and Baccarat Rouge 540 are so popular.
Totally agree. Geranium and carnation are two of the most heavily used flowers in men's fragrances. Lavender is the backbone of fougere (barbershop) fragrances and chypre. Neroli/orange blossom is also very common, especially in older fragrances. Lily-of-the-valley is used in many fresh fragrances, men's, women's and unisex. Materials do not define a fragrance or its intended gender demographic. Each fragrance should be evaluated on its own merits. Let the scent, not the note breakdown on Fragrantica, inform your opinions.

Couldn't agree more with Black Orchid. Honestly, I own the EDT, EDP and Parfum. I don't pick up a feminine scent at all. I don't even feel like it's that "Florally". Blended very well. Black Orchid is one of my favorite TF scents and I feel SEXY wearing it. I will always recommend it.
A lot of women appreciate those men who wear and can pull off some floral frags. My fave note in fragrance is Rose . . . Some of the floral frags in my fragrance wardrobe include Armani Prive' Rose D'arabie, Al Haramain Floral Sculpture, JPG Fleur Du Male, Dior Homme, Dior Homme Intense, Dior Homme Parfum, Al Haramain Neroli Canvas, Black Orchid EDP & Parfum, Armaf Club De Nuit Intense (woman), Chanel Coco Noir, Mancera Black to Black, Montale Black Aoud, Montale Intense Cafe, Bond #9 West Side, Amouage Reflection Man, Amouage Lyric Man, and Initio Atomic Rose . . . just to mention a few. I will say that most of these are worn while being well dressed in a Sport Coat, Suit or Tuxedo. Personally, I would not wear a lot of these when dressed casually . . . Thanks for sharing Chris !!
Just for you to know, In north Africa, Jasmine is the preferred smell for men. The Floral stuff gender thing is just a fabrication of western marketing. I other countries people wear the perfume they like. There is no need to attach a label to it.
Interesting, many thanks. Floras are gaining ground and with it attitudes change. On a regular basis I’m wearing AG cloud and No.5 edp with no problems whatsoever. Short of it is wear what you like so long as it works for you, the lines between masculine and feminine fragrances and more blurred than ever.

I just bought Moschino Toy 2 yesterday (Wednesday 28th Jan 2021) and I really like it! It's very fruity, floral woody musk. It's quite feminine but I think it works well on my skin! :)
I have, wear, and get compliments with DHI, Reflection Man, and Black Orchid...But since DHI is so hard to get in the US, I may have to see about getting a bottle of Tart's Handbag Pour Homme
A great value masculine-floral is Ted Lapidus Pour Homme Sport. Also enjoy YSL Ultime (sadly harder to get and more pricey 😥) Still haven't tried "Toy Boy" (not a fan of the bottle 😲)
Solid list Let me try Mancera roses and chocolate this smells like the name implies with a fruity opening , this is V day in and bottle, and yes ladies do love it Creed iris tuberose this is more tuberose than iris it's a tropical vacation in a bottle it's great with a linen suit and a panama hat Amouage Ciel man lily of the valley, lavender, peach, nutmeg, cinnamon and sandalwood and incense this is similar to reflection man but imo it's a bit better Dior Fahrenheit let parfum violet leaf, leather and vanilla this one in particular smells incredibly masculine Hermes Jardin sur leNil this is mango, incense, carrotseeds, lotus flower and iris it's just magical spring scent, crisp clean, smooth and unique That's 5 but here is a bonus one ELDO jasmine and cigarette this is primarily jasmine and tobacco, there is a pinch of citrus in the opening this is unique I love to wear it with my smoking jacket

I’d definitely add Clive Christian Rock Rose. It’s very lavender-y and floral but has a black pepper on the dry down that kind of grounds it and brings it in to masculine territory. Recommend checking it out

Just tried today dior homme intense in the store for the first time - it smells really good with the iris.. reminds me of ysl la nuit de lhomme lintense that I already have but the dior is a bit weaker I think, but I like it!

I definitely agree. I bought a bottle of Moschino Toy Boy on a blind buy. Huge mistake! The rose is overpowering and I would never wear it.
