What's most terrifying about it is that throughout the game, she helps you, she is your ally, she is always smiling, she is always calm. Then you reach her and hear this theme, shes still smiling, shes still calm, but it feels off. You fight her, get completely fucked, and suddenly that calm and happy aura turns into confidence, intense intimidation, and murderous intent. All because of the vibe that this song brings to the table.

Cynthia makes every other champion (except Steven) look like your rival.
I think Cynthia is only matched by battling Red in Gen 2. Not even Lance, who shares the same theme as Red, pulls off that theme so well, because when you see ". . ." and it flashes a battle flash with those first notes... It feels like you truly fucked up.
I always knew this theme would be complete with more orchestration, and this amazing arrangement proves it :)

Idk if you play by ear or from sheet music, but there's a guy on here that has sheet music for this. Yes it's a little easier, but once you get the hang of it you can make it sound like this ☺️ I also want to learn this eventually myself

Another really amazing theme!!!!! You really magnified the epicness of this! Is so majestic, memes aside, this theme was always soooo good, and I am happy this theme is so iconic now, is really good, wonder how it sounds in the remakes, haven't seen the leaks.
But I LOVE very much this version, this is now stuck in my head- Oh well, time to hear it in loop.
I got jumpscared by this because I was hovering on the thumbnail without realizing. Truly captures just how much of a menace Cynthia is.

Having just come from an 8-bit music theory video on Cynthia's theme, I have come to revere it without even having played Pokemon DP. Not only is all of that fear there, you've added more with the organ because of how much pop culture has cemented organs as this awesome but ominous instrument thanks to the all too familiar Toccata and Fugue.
This is just the right mix of elegant and intense. Amazing!

"Prepare for trouble" . . . Wrong character, but no less true. This piano arrangement really captures those moments before the Champion battle goes down. Good luck living to tell the tale! She is ready and waiting. Personally feel this is a really missed opportunity, in the later games where she appeared. This song before those battles would have been exhilarating. Thanks for the amazing music, Zame! You hit it out of the park using the best piano for the job!
