      Having heard the RCV211V live in 2004 I can believe it. The Ducati was super loud and aggressive but the Honda V5 was wonderful. Odd how Honda road bikes are less inspiring though.They really should have bought out a V5 road bike.

    i think the quickshifter actually rev-matches for him when downshifting... if i'm not mistaken it is a 2-way QS, so it cuts power to the ignition when shifting up, & blipping the throttle to match the revs when downshifting, also the use of a slipper clutch helps keep the rear wheel from locking. they only use the clutch for take-off... but i could be wrong

    • @twistn-grips
      @twistn-grips 5 лет назад

      His chin is so exposed because he actually wears his helmet that way. Many riders do. Gives them better visibility when in full tuck and thru turns. He can pull the front down MUCH MORE if he wanted and the helmet would fit the way you think it's supposed to

    It's all manual, when accelerating you don't need to use a clutch if you're at the right rev range, when downshifting though you do, but these are GP bikes so there clutch is a lot smoother and can also withstand more punishment so the downshifting is very quick not to mention he's rev matching when he downshifts.

      It's actually easy to do. Some machines like a lot of older Hondas, you can bolt a lever right to the shaft like I did to make shifting opposite (gp shift). I really like it and will have it on every bike I will ever own. Makes clutchless upshifting so so easy and precise. It feels natural and just makes sense to me anyway...

    This would have been a great video if not for switching cameras every 2 seconds. If you have multiple camera shots just put out multiple videos.

    I've noticed that the gear shifting was reversed???!!!
    Is it my imagination, or was he pushing down to go up a gear. And if so, then why?

      +Armen Barseghyan race bike have reverse shift pattern so that when the rider is leant over he can still easily shift up

      +Armen Barseghyan It's called a MotoGP shifter. You can reverse it to that on many bikes. I know Chau answered you, just wanted to tell you ;)

      Bro every bike like that has a 1 down 5 up so when you’re at neutral press it down to 1 and the 2,3,4,5,6 is up you shift it up

    Is there any clutch? I didn't see Marc pressing the clutch.

      They use a quick shifter. Essentially, these bikes have sequential gearboxes in them.
      Think of these bikes as Formula 1 cars, except with no wings and only 2 wheels

      rotor13 Tks bro. Excellent explanation. I thought they were just like the stock bikes but with faster gearbox. Tks.

      Only for downshifting. It has a quickshifter for upshifts

    Thats because of the clutch less quick shifter =)
