To beginners reading this comment that wants to make loads of money, do whatever you like in the first season but once you get to summer just buy 100 watermelons, make watermelon juice and use that or turn it into fruit liquer age it and sell that. easy money. I usually start to profit around 150g per week by summer with just water melons and really cheap staff like 3 silver per hour staff
What I will also throw out as a money saving tip: Lanterns were brighter in older updates (maybe in this one) and count as a light source for rooms. To save on candles, especially early on, get a lantern in your one free room and anywhere else you are stowing candles for light purposes.
Board orders gives reputation and money! Not only reputation. I checked several times you really get money from those. And as you sold not one portion of the dish/drink but a whole stack (20 pcs) it's a hefty sum.
"Math is not cozy" isn't that the truth!! Great video, as always! I really liked the list that you made, at the beginning of the video, of the recipes that you crossed off explaining why those were not the best options!

Huh. I checked before I wrote the script and only rep was listed on the board... I didn't think about testing to see if I got the money upon completing it. Thanks for flagging this!
@@MakeWayForCat yeah its not clear but i am pretty sure it gives you the price of what you sell. i dont know if the age of what you sell changes it or if it only gives you the base price, or if it benefits from skill bonuses etc, but you do get some money. I'm glad cause otherwise the orders would suck to complete, especially early games, you'd just be eating a loss.
I'm new at this and am trying to figure out this tea thing. I have sold one cup in 3 months (and I don't even know how that happened). There is no way to add it to the menu, even tho somewhere it is listed as a dessert. So I assume it is handled as a food item and could be added to the menu. In the end I just stopped brewing it. Does it go in a tap?

Can someone help me? I have a bunch of stuff in chests that are unusable (i have 1 of the item and need 2 to make recipes or drinks), can i sell them? if so, where?
Small tip: avoid getting recipes that use Pepper. Getting enough plants for Pepper is super annoying and severely limit your output since you can't grow arbitrary amounts of it.
@@MakeWayForCat NVM apparently you can buy herbs and plants from Bob now! Still somewhat limits tho since you can't grow them, but at least not as painful as foraging...

Are you sure the orders only give reputation? I'm pretty sure they also give me the selling price of the item as well, unless im hallucinating.

where did you get the large barrel server in back of bar?
You can buy them from Amos or the blueprint from the sawmill

Tea goes in the keg on the back wall and is served like any alcoholic beverage.

You cannot sell ingredients - only prepared food and drinks through the tavern or request board.
