    Thank you for putting together these videos for us. I know it takes time to find the relevant texts, do the recording, and put together the video and upload, which you always do right on the feast day.
    God bless you!

    It seems apparent that the Virgin for our sake called from heaven to her holy womb the means of our salvation. The idea of her, that is conveyed in the protestant world, the Queen of heaven as a mindless vehicle is truly tragic and does violence to the souls of its adherents. Ignorant as we were. To rob the children of God of their mother.
    " Poor motherless children....only ask and she will take you in her arms and take you with her to heaven!"

      @roberttayalor3328 Agreed.... She spent the most time with Jesus Christ.
      Some Protestantism/Evangelical/Pentecostal tend to be very anti Mary.
      I always wonder how Jesus Christ views those that profess HIS name, call themselves HIS disciples ...yet trash his own Mothers place in Creation.
      I have heard "it could have been any woman, that part wasn't important".

    Will you repost the orthodox ethos article, or are you also embarrassed like the TO?

      What article? Why would I be embarrassed to share something from OE?

    • @OleksandrP7
      @OleksandrP7 Месяц назад

      @OrthodoxWisdom he made an article to discredit the old calendarists and it’s quite BIZARRE, they said demon gave them a sermon. Please check it out. You have helped me a lot to understand orthodoxy I hope I can too.

      @OleksandrP7 the article is useful if understood in right light. The context and footnotes help make sense of some of those things that may sound strange. But this example from Elder Ephraim’s life is not to be easily dismissed. It also shouldn’t be taken as far as some Old Calendarists have reacted. Read the account carefully.
      My question is more about why you would expect me to share the article. I am an OE team member and help with the material we post. I choose not to reshare everything from OE because then Orthodox Wisdom would just be a mouthpiece for OE and not much more. Some people want to follow OE and some don’t but still want to follow Orthodox Wisdom. I both support OE and help with the ministry and want to keep Orthodox Wisdom as it’s own channel and podcast.

      This has been taught in the Church since the beginning. The Synaxarion (lives of the saints) includes even the greatest saint (the Mother of God)

    Is that tiny hat really accurate? It looks like a fez for a cat.

      It is a phylactery. Many priests and Old Testament figures wear such objects in icons, notably Daniel. (I'm the author of the above icon).
