Stampy you could use a sticky piston instead of a regular piston. That way you could just have two pistons facing sideways on top of each other that push he snow under the dispenser and then pull it back. Oh wait, you will still have to place the snow. I guess theres no way around that.
I think you could have the dispenser constantly firing out pumpkins and if there isn't any snow for it to land on, the pumpkin can fall into a hopper and be carried back to the dispenser again.
