Yes showing procedure is key. I know in my school district the first two weeks is procedures . In library I had to do it weekly. Dollar tree has great holiday pencils and you can order.

Kids don't always get that final say so in what environment they live in or go to school in whereas adults do have that final say so. I am glad that things are going better for you now. Your stick and bubble animal looks just like my artistic skill! Yes and amen- college barely mentioned setting routines, but it’s the biggest and best thing you can do for classroom management. Also ditto for the negative people- makes it worse when that negativity comes from administration. I’m done with it. Walking away was what was best for me. And I’m not going back.
