You are the best demonstration presenter on RUclips! I have been wanting to do something like this for my self-paced online classes I offer. I've been working on a way to have the lesson and worksheets on the slides instead of having to do a separate attachment. This is fantastic. Thank you, I'll be going through your other videos to learn how to copy my slides, too.
Hey Meghan! Want to share a good news with you. I have been offered the position of Curriculum Developer at one of the firms. I just can't wait to apply so many ideas and inspiration I have got from your channel! Thank you 😘
Thanks for watching and for the feedback! I like using the arrow for MC questions because it also helps students practice dragging and dropping. My students always struggle with that at the beginning of the year, so I like to give them opportunities to practice manipulating items on the screen before state testing at the end of the year.
Hi Michelle! Thanks for watching and commenting! This work around with creating interactive worksheets in Google Slides has been a game-changer for me, and has saved me SO much time. I hope it is helpful for you too!
@@Vestals21stCenturyClassroom Thanks for replying to my comment. I do have a question/request. I have subscribed to you videos and I have looked over your blog for this answer, but I'm still not sure. Would you share how once you have taken one of your TPT PDF products and converted some of the slides to digital for Google, how do you uplaod it back onto TPT with the combination of PDF and digital or is there a difference?
@@Vestals21stCenturyClassroom Thanks for the information. I watched your video that you made a few days ago about updating your products to digital. I'm working on this as well...I've been off the grid for a couple of years...family illness. Again, thanks for being so pleasant in your presentations.
You can go through the process of turning each PowerPoint slide into a JPEG. Then, apply each JPEG as a background to each slide. This does the same thing as using Slides Toolbox. Slides Toolbox just helps you save time because you can do all of the slides at once rather than having to click through each one and apply the backgrounds individually.
@@Vestals21stCenturyClassroom Thanks! Your videos are great! I just followed along and made a digital notebook with the tabs that link to the pages! I can even see how tabs like that will make for streamlined lessons: (warmup, agenda, vocal, etc)!
If you create google slides using the Master view, the parts you create in masterview can't be moved. I learned that recently and it's so fast! You don't have to save a jpeg or png! It's another game changer. (But you can customize more and use cooler fonts in powerpoint!)
This is extremely valuable thank you! I did have one question. I am struggling with my slides always being blurry when I turn them into jpegs from powerpoint. Do you have any suggestions in order to maintain the same amount of clarity the powerpoint has as the original before switching it to google slides?
Any chance you can share a way to add a spinner/random name generator into a google slide that does not redirect to a new tab or website? I would like students to be able to spin within the slide.
Hi Jenn! Thanks for watching and commenting. I am not aware of a way to add a spinner or random name generator without having it link to an outside site. I just did a Google search to see if I could find a Slides Add-On that could do it, but I couldn't find any results. :( If you are looking for a random generator, I have another video with my favorite one (but I have not been able to embed it on a Slide): ruclips.net/video/asFtyfvf1ZI/видео.html
Even if you don't have PP, you should be able to do the same thing following the same steps. Create your worksheets in Apple's version of PP and save as a PDF.
Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting. If you want to save a Google Slide presentation in another format go to File>Download and then select the format you want to save it as. Hope this helps!
Hi! Thanks for watching! I'm not sure what you mean by the drawing section. Google Slides does not offer drawing tools although students can use the lines and shapes tools to create objects. I have students use those tools to create images sometimes. If you want students to be able to draw, you will need to use Google Jamboard or Google Drawings.
Hi Mirela! Yes, you are correct! Editing in master view will also allow you to lock images and text down. I find that I work the fastest using the method I show in this video, but I always encourage all educators to do what is best and easiest for them.
Hi Gabriel! Thanks for watching and commenting. I think creating your own digital, interactive worksheets is so much more engaging for students. I know your Spanish class will enjoy using what you create!
NO, NO, NO, NO. As a student can I can not stress strongly enough slides are awful for worksheets. I will admit this could be just an issue with my teachers but they are a nightmare to use and edit. Sadly 90% of my homework during covid has been on google slides but on the rare occasions with we are assigned something on google docs it is the such a treat. Please I beg you teachers actually try to do these assignments you create and see if you honestly think they work better on slides rather than google docs.

Thanks for showing me how to make these slides. My students will appreciate you! And don't forget you are a SUPERSTAR
I appreciate that! Thank you!
You are a GENIUS!! I knew that I could add images as backgrounds but the slides toolbox is a game changer for doing multiple at once. Thank you!
Thanks for watching! Toolbox is an absolute game changer. I cannot begin to tell you how much time it has saved me.
Love the arrows for the multiple choice options! Thank you!

Awesome love the tip🧡 The arrow for multiple choice is genesis and well appreciated❤❤❤❤🧡❤🧡..Do more like this with the tool kit

If we want that Ss do not mess different elements, first we can work in Edit Master in Google slides, and then insert them.
