      Hi Joni. I love the “Violets and Velvet” painting. I would love to see a series to go with that. For example: Lilacs and Lace. Daisies and Denim. Sweetheart Roses and Satin. 🥰

    I decided to try painting before Christmas so I could give my daughters personal gifts. While I used another RUclipsrs tutorial, I started to search for something more and I discovered you! You have inspired me SOOO much! I have done a couple of yours and love your techniques. I pushed myself out of my realm and with your tutorials have found a love of painting. I have bought canvas, brushes and the paints you show and am very excited to do more with your tutorials. Thank you so much for doing all the hard work to share this wonderful experience with us!!

    Joni-I am in love with your videos and painting. I am a 76 year old great grandmother who took up acrylic painting to help me with as I struggle with the grief of losing my beautiful husband of 53 years. Even with my crippling arthritis I am able to produce small paintings for my children and grands who think they are lovely. Of course, to me, my paintings are very amateurish! But, I enjoy mixing colors and experimenting! Soon, I wish to graduate to larger canvases and attempt to branch out to different themes. You are a blessing! Dr. Zelma Frankhouser, Christian Author and maybe someday an amateur artist!

    I Joni, I am Nancy Bisogno. My question is a little different, but I wanted to know how you store wet canvases or canvases in general. My husband thinks mine is such a mess! I noticed it looks like you have shiplap or something on your walls. I don’t have that much room. My room is mostly windows. I am new to you but I have found I really love your paintings ! So I am now a big fan. I am not a total beginner but I got frustrated with other channels that are so long and too chatty for me. I am 78 and time is precious! Thank you you and your work is lovely!!

    • @joniyoungart
      @joniyoungart  2 года назад

      Hi Nancy! Thanks for your question and comments😊 it’s important to store your finished paintings in a room temperature area and not too close together or they could possibly stick. I place parchment paper in-between when stacking. As for storing wet canvas, I cannot answer that.. acrylic dries fast but you can slow it down by keeping it cold. I store my unused paint 🎨 in a cooler or fridge covered up.

    Do you initially wet it to make it soft though. I brought one from the boss toss range but right out of the pack it’s light hard so I assume you wet it (let it dry) to create that soft feel (hope that mages sense)

  • @elanamarino2624
    @elanamarino2624 2 года назад

    Nice demo for waterfall...also note that when loading brush paint is on top (referring to left side use) ..
    Also...that is an "angle brush" not a dagger...a dagger is more thin and longer....the dagger brush is great for foliage...leaves for still lifes and more...I'm an oil painter and use the dagger for many landscape content...
    Also, the company who produces that brush also has "nylon" synthetic brushes same size and angles as well....this way no need to purchase and use "animal " hair products...
    Weasels suffer in the making of Brushes- manufactured in China...sorry but for those animal painters out there an FYI
    The nylon work just as same way...
    Many acrylic painters such as John Magne Lisandro use nylon angel brushes and acrylic painting Techniques channel as well.
    Thank you for your demo and all your tutorials, enjoy watching...
