  • Maybe you want to manage your menopause using herbal and botanical products. And if you still have your uterus, you’ll need both estrogen and progesterone plant products to do so. The trick will be to balance the two so that you get the benefits of estrogen without harming your uterus. So how will you do that? Which herbal and botanical products will you use?

      The alternative median community focuses on and promotes use of progesterone ... even though it's only purpose is to support a pregnancy during your reproductive years and prevent uterine cancer in your post-menopausal years.
      The traditional medical community focuses on and promotes estrogen because it's the hormone you lost at post-menopause, the loss of which increases your risk for many diseases (heart attack, osteoporosis, and Alzheimer's Disease).
      You really need to learn ALL the facts before choosing any options from either camp.

    I get the balancing act, but I remember in one of your videos, you spoke about the Asian population having a low rate of cancer and heart disease compared to the USA. You sort of attributed it to a diet high in soy products (between 80 to 100 mgs. per day). Now if their estrogen intake is high, shouldn't they be ingesting Chase Berry for progesterone? Why is uterine cancer not an issue? Thank you ahead of time for all that you do.

      Viki,
      I'm so glad you're here. If you really want to serve your needs, start at video #1 and watch them all in order. I promise you'll understand everything.
      Here's why: I'm an anal, neurotic, pedantic, perfectionistic surgeon. I put great time and energy into making sure I publish my videos in just the right order so that they are the most beneficial for you.
      There is absolutely nothing willy-nilly about the order. I guess you could say that my menopause series as akin to "Menopause University."
      I start with Video #1, assuming you know absolutely nothing. And I do not mean that as an insult. The fact is, you don't know what you don't know. And, if you start at the beginning, you'll be shocked at what you thought you knew, but don't.
      These videos are like building blocks. Each video builds on the last. Think of it like this: If you didn't know the alphabet, could you read? No. Well, if you don't know the foundation on the topic of menopause, you can't possibly make sense of it. So, first I teach you the alphabet and then I teach you how to read.
      Most women think they know the "alphabet" of menopause, but when they watch my videos in order, beginning with the very first one, they realize that the vast majority of what they thought they knew is misinformation.
      That's why visits with your doctor can seem so unproductive and curt. You don't speak the language of menopause. Your doctor doesn't have time to teach you the alphabet, how to read, or how to speak the language. So, most of your time face-to-face with any professional is unfruitful.
      If you do watch my videos in order, you'll get a real education. Then, you'll discover that your doctor is so impressed that you can speak the language. And your appointments will be incredibly productive. You'll know what you want and how to get it.
      You owe it to yourself to take advantage of the fact that I'm so organized. I leave nothing to chance with your menopause education. Why would you throw that away by jumping into the series in the middle or watching the videos out of order? It's like jumping into a mini-series in the middle of it. It's so much better if you watch from the beginning.
      I plan the videos 8 months before they air. I shoot then 4 months before they air, and I edit them 1 month before they air. That takes a lot of planning on my part, and you get the benefits of all that planning.
      Okay, that's the end of my parenting. I hope you give yourself what you deserve. Welcome aboard, my dear.

    I love your tutorials!! I am a bit confused about the Wild Yams. In a previous tutorial (21 or 22) when you went shopping for supplements/herbs you put the Wild Yam supplement in your cart and said it was a great form of Progesterone and in this tutorial you say that it is a source of Estrogen. Can it be used for both? Just wanted to be sure before I purchase.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  4 года назад +4

      You'll find it marketed as progesterone ... even though wild yams actually contain estrogen.
      Some companies take the estrogen in wild yams and convert it to progesterone.
      But, the fact is the entire vitamin, mineral, supplement, and herbal industry is unregulated. So you never really know what you're getting.

As we enter this mature stage of our lives, we were hoping to be more secure, grounded, wise, and effective in the world yet we get thrown a massive curve with this menocrap (sorry) and you are a lifesaver. I thought I was going nuts- all of a sudden at age 45 things shifted for me I started getting my first UTI s ever, my entire system weakened, no sleep, anxiety, a host of physical symptoms (all of them actually) , recently at 49 the migraines started and have been Horrific just cannot function. Bio identical progesterone immediately stopped the migraines, and gave me the wonderful sedative effect I desperately needed to sleep better. Woman was I ever exhausted ! Going to add estrogen soon as it arrives in the mail (estriol) since I hate blood drawing I haven’t had the blood analysis yet. • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  3 года назад +2

      Vitex is progesterone. Progesterone is the baby's hormone. The ONLY reason you produced it was to support your pregnancies.
      At menopause, if you take HRT, you have to include progesterone only if you still have your uterus to prevent uterine cancer. But it has no benefits for you at all.

    Hi - a bit confused here - back in the tutorial about dietary estrogen and soy products you mentioned that one of the benefits is that they protect you from breast and uterine cancer - here we are talking about having to still find a way of getting progesterone to protect the uterus - wouldn't the phytoestrogens already be protecting you? Also you mentioned that they are so weak it's unlikely the uterine wall would become thick - so why do we still need to find a dietary progesterone?? Thanks so much

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  2 года назад +2

      Oh my! You are confused about the most basic of things.
      ALL estrogen, no matter the source, has he potential for thickening the lining inside your uterus ... unLess you balance it with progesterone.
      Estrogen is like fertilizer for the uterine lining to grow.
      Progesterone acts as the lawnmower.
      Maybe you should schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME so that I can make absolutely sure you understand everything. I do them all online. Of course, a consultation is the only way to tailor everything specifically to YOU, anyway.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  8 месяцев назад

      You are Mama Bear, not Baby Bear.
      The word, "progesterone" means "hormone in support of pregnancy:"
      "Pro" = in support of
      "Gest" = gestation (pregnancy)
      "One" = hormone
      Progesterone's only role during your reproductive life is to protect Baby Bear in utero. It does nothing for YOU.
      Once you are post-menopausal, progesterone's only role or benefit for you is to prevent uterine cancer. That's it!
      People who believe that progesterone has other benefits have fallen prey to marketing, not science.

    • @MenopauseTaylor

      Deb,
      Estrogen for menopause isn't really going to have an effect on your fibroids. They usually shrink some at the time of menopause, and they might shrink more without any hormones. But so will your bones, your brain, and your heart arteries. It's always a balancing act. You're better off with fibroids than you are with a heart attack, osteoporosis and Alzheimer's Disease.
      The goal is for you to feel better now and later.

I personally pay a lot of attention to those in trying to manage my menopause symptoms and anti-aging on a long term routine in general; although I am quite sure you have already anticipated this question , and planned to discuss this point on a further video; with all my gratitude,for your work , best regards !

For me it was sad to find out that at our age we are really not allowed a lot of calories in a day. Especially if we want to lose weight. On a positive note foods from nature don’t have a lot of calories so we just need to eat superhealthy and exercise. ❤️

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  2 года назад

      You will be getting to this in upcoming videos.
      Mirena is a progestin IUD that delivers progestin to your uterus only. The progestin does not travel through your body and give you the yucky side effects of progesterone. So, with an IUD, you do not need any other kind of progesterone.

      Vicki,
      The first thing you should do, if you're just joining my channel, is to watch these videos in order, from the beginning. You'll be shocked at what you didn't know!
      The most important question I have for you is: At what age did you have your very last period? In other words, when did you become post-menopausal. The time frame between then and now is the critical factor in knowing whether or not you're a good candidate for hormones.
      Also, why are you asking about progesterone alone? (If you haven't watched these videos in order, that would explain it.) Are you of the Alternative and Complementary persuasion? And do you still have your uterus? I need to know more of your personal details.
      I really want to help you, but I can't assess enough based on how you posed the question. So, either you jumped into this series without the previous videos or you still need to give me a few more pieces of information.
      I love educating you and answering your questions, so please follow up and reach out again.

    I take progesterone capsules 100 mg for sleep. But it’s not good for my liver. I’m looking for some natural sources.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  2 года назад +5

      You have a misconception about the effect of progesterone on your sleep. You've heard only half the story, my dear.
      Most women have the misconception that progesterone “helps you sleep.”
      But the reality is not quite as advertised. Estrogen is actually the hormone that helps you sleep … like a baby, that is. Progesterone can help you sleep, but more like a zombie than a baby.
      Here are the facts:
      Insomnia is a symptom of estrogen deficiency. So if you take adequate estrogen, you will sleep deeply and continuously throughout the night and wake up perky and energetic in the morning.
      But if you take progesterone, things will be a bit different. Instead of just getting a good night’s sleep, it will make it difficult for you to wake up in the morning, make you feel sluggish when you do get up, and leave you feeling like a zombie all day. You’ll feel like you could sleep standing up. And you’ll have a hard time being productive.
      The reason women “hear” that they should take it at night is because the Alternative community claims that it helps you sleep. Progesterone gives you that all-day drugged, drowsy, you-could-sleep-while-standing-up feeling that is so characteristic of early pregnancy. With progesterone, you do not merely get a good night’s sleep. You get a sluggishness that lasts all day (which is good during pregnancy because it makes you lazy so that the baby gets more calories to grow). But now that you’re peri-or post-menopausal, you don’t want to be sluggish all day.
      So, if you want to sleep like a baby at night, take estrogen. If you want to be sluggish like a zombie all day, take progesterone.

    Dr. Taylor- I have a uterus and I happen to eat (alot) foods that are considered phytoestrogenic like chickpeas, bell peppers, edamame, etc....would I still need a progesterone source to balance this out? I guess chasteberry is in my future(?) I never thought about the balance but it all makes sense! Thank you! 🙂

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  4 года назад +3

      It's important to balance estrogen with progesterone regardless of the source. But you need to realize that different categories of hormones have different strengths.
      Phytoestrogens are 1/00 to 1/1000 as strong as pharmaceutical estrogens. So you don't have to use a pharmaceutical or compounded progesterone to balance them. Chasteberry is adequate.
      On the other hand, if you take pharmaceutical estrogen, Chasteberry would be grossly inadequate.

    Just to let you know that I was back at the gynaecologist this week and yippee she has finally agreed to a TAHBSO. I've had a lot of side effects from the tablets to shrink the fibroids and my endometriosis is much worse whilst on them (they thicken the endometrial wall). She has asked me to lose a little weight first, as due to the enlarged uterus, adhesions etc it's unlikely she'll be able to do it vaginally. We have also agreed to use SERMs rather than HRT to allow the endometriosis to die off. Finally progress has been made. Many thanks for these videos as I was able to articulate exactly what I wanted and why. Best wishes.

    Hi Barbie- I’m 48 years old and are having issues with hot flashes and weight gain. I suffer from endometriosis and was told evening primrose oil was good for that and hot flashes. Well, I started taking it and have put on some weight in my breasts, belly and butt area. I’m also swollen? Did I put more estrogen in my body that i didn’t need from the EPO? I also have had a bulky uterus for a few years any suggestions on making it smaller?

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  6 лет назад

      Your symptoms of hot flashes and weight gain are both symptoms of estrogen loss. Estrogen is the remedy for both. Because you still have your uterus, you would have to take progesterone with estrogen. You're young, and the younger you are, the higher the dosages you need to do the trick. Low dose birth control is the most effective option for younger women. Once you get past age 55, HRT is more appropriate.
      Endometriosis is a situation in which the uterine lining that normally sheds as a period (endometrium) flows backward and drips out the end of your fallopian tube. It implants wherever it falls. And then it does the same thing in its new location that it did when it was in your uterus: it builds up and then bleeds. The best thing to treat and reduce progression fo endometriosis is birth control (pills, patches, or a vaginal ring). That's because birth control causes very little build-up of the lining of your uterus. If there's lees built up in the first place, there's less to flow backward up your tubes.
      The "bulky uterus" you speak of could be one of two things: (1) Endometriosis in the wall of your uterus, or (2) Fibroids. I can't tell which based on your descriptions alone.
      Evening Primrose Oil consists of four fatty acids. It has no direct applicability to alleviating menopausal symptoms, although some women use it for hot flashes. It has no effect on endometriosis. Who told you to use it for these problems?
      I do one-on-one consultations (in person and on Skype). If you'd like, you can schedule one (MenopauseTaylor.ME). I'll show you all sorts of props and models so that you truly understand your situation. Then, you can choose how to manage it.

      You may absolutely take estrogen and testosterone!
      Do not use your family physician to manage your menopause. Do you know how much education on menopause we get in medical school? About an hour!
      That means that any physician who did not do a residency in Ob/Gyn has only received about an hour of education on menopause. Go to a gynecologist. You'll be so glad you did.
      You might even be able to find a Gynecologist who specializes in menopause. Go to www.menopause.org. (That's the website for the North American Menopause Society, or NAMS). Click on the "For women" tab. Then click on "Find a provider." They're all menopause specialists. Put in your zip code to see if there's one near you.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  7 лет назад +1

      Taking progesterone in the first trimester of pregnancy has nothing to do with estrogen dominance (if there is such a thing.) The alternative & complementary world espouses this phenomenon of "estrogen dominance." In pregnancy, many women need progesterone to help support the pregnancy because of previous losses. (Pro=in support of; Gest=pregnancy; one=hormone).
      I don't know any physicians in Atlanta. But if you want a menopause specialist, go to www.menopause.org. It's the North American Menopause Society. All the physicians are menopause specialists (and they're called, "NAMS providers.) Click on the patient tab. Then click on "Find a NAMS provider" or "Find a doctor."

Hot power yoga 3x a wk, even got rid of 95% of my high end makeup/hair products-just can't let go of my Chanel mascara!! These hormones are a mystery!!
      I will definitely browse this website and keep in touch. It's so hard to find drs that don't think your nuts!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!

      You have your information wrong. You can go on either.
      If you bleed on the continuous regime, though. that may be your body telling you it isn't ready for that. Alternatively, it could just warrant an adjustment in your HRT.

    Regarding @30:00 and in one of your videos, you mentioned that a Mirena is great because it confines the progesterone in the uterus and protects against uterine cancer. So since we can't predict how much estrogen we are actually taking from dietary/herbal/supplemental products, why can't we just ask the gynae/OB to place a Mirena for us? In that way, we can eat all the food/supplements/herbs that have oestrogen/phytoestrogens (such as wild yam, soy...) to treat our menopausal syptoms and not risk getting uterine cancer, can't we?

    Hello Barbie, I am 1 year post-op bilateral oopherectomy/hysterectomy. I've tried estrace, depo-estradiol, estrogen patch and I had issues with swelling and fast weight gain. I've recently started on bio/identical cream about 4 months ago 0.825mg estrogen and 30 mg of progesterone applied one time a day. I cut the dose in half because I swell rapidly in my abdomen feet and hands With the full dose. The half dose does not take away my hot flashes or improve my libido at all but I feel okay otherwise on 1/2 of the prescribed dose with no swelling. Is it normal to swell so rapidly on estrogen, my abdomen just gets huge on a "therapeutic" dose. What am I doing wrong?

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  7 лет назад

      I'm assuming the you were not post-menopausal before your surgery. If that's the case, here are my thoughts:
      It could be that the hiatus between your surgery and the time you started taking hormone replacement is the issue. Because your menopause was "surgical" or sudden, your body went through "estrogen withdrawal" in the 8 months during which you had no ovaries and no HRT.
      Then, 4 months ago, you suddenly re-introduced something to your body that it had forgotten how to handle. The pharmaceutical hormones are stronger than the bioidentical hormones. And, for most women, the bioidentical hormones are not sufficient to alleviate their symptoms of menopause. And they're definitely not sufficient for preventing heart attack, osteoporosis, or Alzheimer's Disease.
      Because your menopause was sudden, it's MORE important for you take estrogen than it would have been if it hadn't been surgical. So, I think it's important for you to try to "work your way up" with your estrogen dose.
      It's estrogen that matters for you; not progesterone.
      Remember, menopause is not about het flashes. It's about heart attacks. And time is of the essence. If you don't take estrogen now, your body will begin the aging process that may make it impossible for you to take it later.
      Tell me: Did you try taking estrogen alone, without progesterone at first? I ask because, without your uterus, you don't need progesterone. Most women have more yucky side effects (like swelling) from progesterone than they do from estrogen. Maybe you could try taking your half dose of estrogen all by itself at first. And then slowly increase it until you get to a dose that will actually provide the long-term benefits of preventing a heart attack, osteoporosis, and Alzheimer's Disease.
      Shoot more questions my ways you assess all this.

      Menopause Taylor , you are correct I had an emergency hyst r/t hemorrhage. I started depo-estradiol immediately post-op while in the recovery room and continued on it and also tried other forms of estrogen for 5 months. I then quit estrogen for about 8 weeks due to the rapid weight gain and major fluid retention, I felt fine emotionally ( no libido though) and the hot flashes were mild during those 8 weeks I went cold turkey off of estrogen but my Physician was very insistent that I take some form of estrogen for all the reasons you stated above and I had an extensive A&P repair also and he was very concerned about atrophy. I want to take hormones but honestly I feel like the amount of water retention I experience is not normal. I did have pcos and still have a naturally high testosterone level. My estrogen level was so low it was unreadable before o started on the bioidenticals. Supposedly the progesterone was added to help me diurese but I'm puffed up like a toad. The surgery saved my life so I don't regret it but finding balance is so challenging. I just turned 40 last month and do not want to age prematurely. Would you recommend I switch back to climara or estrace ? I was on 2mg before. I do know my hot flashes are much more intense with the bioidenticals then when I was taking nothing. I am about 45lbs overweight as well.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  7 лет назад +2

      I think you'll be much better of on the Climara or other pharmaceutical estradiol. And I think you're better off without any progesterone.
      Another alternative is to try a different brand of pharmaceutical estrogen. Consider Premarin. It isn't estradiol. Instead, it's "conjugated estrogens," which means a combination of estrogens. And it may make all the difference for you.
      Set up an appointment with your Internal Medicine physician to address the swelling ... just the swelling. DO NOT address your menopause with your Internist. Confine that conversation to your gynecologist. It could be that the swelling is due to an issue with your kidneys. Just rule that out so that you know it's not an issue.
      Estrace is a vaginal cream. And you need it regardless. Your gynecologist is absolutely correct in his concerns.

      Kat,
      This is the kind of thing that requires a one-on-one consultation. And you really need one because you have all your facts pretty much upside-down. Please, schedule one and let me give you the help you deserve.
      I'm in the business of educating you about everything you need to know and do in order to get exactly what you want for managing your menopause your way. So, here's how a consultation works:
      1) You would schedule a one-on-one consultation at my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME, choosing a time that is convenient for you. I do consultations on Skype, FaceTime. Facebook Messenger, What’s App, and the phone.
      2) I would send you an email to confirm that you are scheduled for the stated time, and invite you to send me as much information about yourself as you please. You can make it brimming with details and tell me about your reproductive life, any gynecologic problems you've had, your symptoms of peri-menopause, and your symptoms of post-menopause. You can include all your fears, concerns, and goals for your menopause management. You may also send me any labs, mammogram results, bone density results, etc. that you would like me to include in designing your protocol. For instance, if you want to adhere to a certain category of management options (herbs or diet & lifestyle, or whatever), you should tell me that. I will give you a deadline for sending all materials, and will not accept anything after that date.
      3) I'll get busy creating a document that gives you all the education you need to understand absolutely everything, points out the pros and cons of each option, and tailors it all to YOU, using the information you have provided. The document will be loooooong. Most are over 30 pages.
      4) I will send you the document by email 48 hours before your consultation. You will benefit greatly by reading it in advance. Light bulbs will go off like crazy, and if you're like most women, you'll feel that you've already gotten your money's worth.
      5) During your consultation, we will review the document and address any issues you want in order to fine tune everything and determine your best options. I'll tell you exactly how to find the right kind of professional, how to have the conversation in order to get what you want, and the nuances of things like guidelines and insurance. I leave nothing unaddressed.
      6) You will go to a professional of your choosing in order to get the actual hormones or whatever you choose to use.
      7) After the first consultation, I'll hold your hand (forever if you want me to). In other words, you'll be able to schedule mini-consultations (15-minute or 30-minute, in addition to full consultations) whenever you need to. I'll keep records of your situation. Most women schedule mini-consultation whenever they go to the doctor and don't understand what he or she said, or why. I translate. I make sense of everything. Most schedule mini-consultation whenever they have a new test and they want me to explain the results. And all schedule mini-consultation whenever their situation changes and they need to re-weigh and re-balance their options.
      The time you spend with me will make everything about working with any other professional so easy. And they will love the fact that you have an actual education rather than a bunch of misconceptions that you got form the Internet. If your initial hormone regimen is not right, you'll want to consult with me before going to your doctor. I can prepare you for what to expect and what to request.
      So, that's my role. And nobody else on earth does this kind of thing but me. So, I hope you schedule a consultation and let me hold your hand (figuratively).
      I hope to meet you soon!

    Very informative discussion (as usual!). I would like to ask how do women in the Far East manage to protect their uterus despite high dietary soy intake?

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  5 лет назад +1

      They eat soy their entire lives. And, as you know from my previous videos, the strength of estrogen in soy is 1/100 - 1/ 1000 that of the estrogen in your body. Soy has a whole slew of health benefits IF it's a regular part of your diet.
      But, I always want women to know that, at menopause, you have to balance any estrogen with progesterone, even a weak one.

    • @lf8238

      They also eat a diet high in iodine which balances the estrogen in soy. They consume seaweed and seafood and fish daily. Western cultures generally don't eat that way.

    I have been researching for years now progesterone and estrogen bioidentical replacement therapy for many years now and everybody that I have talked to says that wild yam is progesterone and now your calling it an estrogen?

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  6 лет назад +1

      I'm not "calling it" anything. The fact is that Wild Yams CONTAIN estrogen. None of this is "my opinion." Sometimes, companies take the estrogen in Wild Yams and make a progesterone product out of it. But to think that Wild Yams contain estrogen is just plain inaccurate.
      If you've been "researching" Wild Yam progesterone, then you've been doing so within the Alternative & Complementary industry, which markets Wild Yam products galore, and markets them as "progesterone." That's not science. It's marketing. They focus on progesterone as the solution to everything, & sell progesterone. So, they have coined the term "estrogen dominance," alleged that most gynecologic problems are due to estrogen, and promote progesterone as the solution. (Videos 74. 75. 76)
      I am not against the Alternative & Complementary community. You should do whatever you want to manage your menopause, but you should be sure you're basing your decision s on fact rather than misconceptions.
      I just give you facts with which you can make good decisions for yourself. If you watch all my videos in order, beginning with the very first one, you'll see that I don't belong to a "camp" of have an angle. I teach you about ALL the options for managing YOUR menopause YOUR way, including Diet, Exercise, Lifestyle, Vitamins, Minerals, Botanicals, Herbs, Acupuncture, Hypnosis, Hormonal Medication, and Non-Hormonal Medications. Menopause Taylor ... Thanks for the clarification, from everything I have read from Suzanne Somers to Dr. Wright and all those in between, unless I missed something, I never heard them say that Wild yams have estrogen in them. Barbra Hoffman seems to swear by a progesterone/DHEA only approach first, and then estrogen if needed during menopause. I'm giving it 2 to 3 months on a progesterone approach with 10 mg of DHEA and if my symptoms don't improve then I'm going to take the Biest/testosterone BHRT cream my doctor has prescribed. When I inquired about the ingredients and formula composition to the compounding pharmacy they couldn't answer all my questions, which makes me nervous. God Bless, thanks again!

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  6 лет назад +1

      The reason no one can answer your questions is because there are no studies on Alternative & Complementary products. They do not have to meet and specified regulatory standards.
      Your sources all fall into the Alternative & Complementary realm. (And there's not much "in between" Suzanne Sommers - who is an actress, not a doctor - and Dr. Wright, who is an Integrative Medicine doctor.) That does not make them bad. It's just that you are not making any distinction between different types of "doctors." They are not all created equal. You are not getting facts. You're getting marketing.
      If you only tune into one school of thought, you'll get just that: one school of thought.
      I'm giving you the gamut of information without taking a side. I know of no other professional who does the same.
      I have noting but facts to offer you. I don't care what you use for your menopause. I just believe that you deserve a complete and unbiased education with which to make your choices. So far, you haven't gotten that.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  7 лет назад +5

      Well, as you know from watching my videos on phytoestrogens, plant sources of estrogen are extremely weak. So they're not going to thicken your uterus a lot or rapidly. But it's still better to balance them with some progesterone, be it Chasteberry or some other form of progesterone.

    • @MenopauseTaylor

      Progesterone is something your body produces only for the benefit of a baby during pregnancy.
      The word, "progesterone" means "hormone in support of pregnancy:"
      "Pro" = in support of
      "Gest" = gestation (pregnancy)
      "One" = hormone
      Think about how some women feel best when they are pregnant, while others feel worst when they are pregnant. All that matters is that you do what's best FOR YOU.
      The great thing about this education is that you can use it (or refuse it) as you please. There is nothing that is right for all women. We are not robots.
      You never have to justify your choices to anybody. The goal is to empower you to manage YOUR menopause YOUR way ... and allow all other women to do the same.
