I'm a Japanese news viewer. NY1 news was also broadcast on sister station Tokyo MX TV (Tokyo Metropolitan Television, MXTV)'s evening newscast until March 26, 2023. His closing comments for MXTV, "I'm Lewis Dodley. Now back to Tokyo MX TV," made a strong impression on me as a Japanese person. Thank you so much for your hard work over the past 32 years. I wish you all the best in the future!

As a born and raised New Yorker, I enjoyed watching him on NY1 since the day I was born.
Thank you Lewis for everything you've done for us. I wish you many blessings and good wishes on your retirement.
    We'll miss you! ❤️🙏🏾

I'VE BEEN WATCHING THIS MAN SINCE DAY 1. I MET HIM IN PERSON ONCE AT THEIR ORIGINAL LOCATION ON 42ND STREET & HE WAS VERY NICE. I HAVE SEEN HIM SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. HE IS A LANDMARK ON THAT STATION. ENJOY RETIREMENT BROTHER.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I came to New York in 1990. I remember watching cable back then "Time Warner cable" he was the fresh face on the news, and unbiased! Congratz to him in his 32 year run.

I watched Luis Dodley growing up. I remember watching the 2001 Pope Coverage. I was 12 years old. And then in 2010 switched to FiOS which sucked because they don’t have NY1. Gonna miss him.

I watch NY1 every day and totally missed this retirement story ... how is this possible ??
Usually they repeat a big story over and over but I have no recollection of this.
    Very strange....
