- It's the tallest and fastest coaster in Canada, and an absolute top notch ride! But how does it stand up to the other giga coasters? These are my thoughts on Leviathan, the first ever giga by B&M!

Next time ride Leviathan in the summer at night when the trims are off. U don't loose any speed towards the end
Thrill Warrior your right I just got to ride it front at night in august and the trims were off and it was completely amazing
Lol. I’m 25 years old and have ridden Leviathan numerous times and I’m only finding out about this now. Will keep this mind next time haha.
I Love Levaithan At Night!
Oh yeah i did that it was amazing!
Agreed. Leviathan is short, but of course it was a prototype and they didn't have a crap ton of space in the parking lot and the park in general. That being said, B&M still did a great job with Leviathan and still provides a great fast ride. Canada's Wonderland is my home park, and so I get to ride this thing many times, and I always love the speed on it, of course when the wheels are heated up. I don't know how it goes through that layout with a lot of speed. It did also make the top 10 steel coasters from Amusement Today so that's awesome :) Taylor do you think it deserves the 6th spot on the Golden Ticket Awards this year? And also, Behemoth or Leviathan?
CW is my home park too but I still haven't been on it. Although, I'm going on with my cousin for the first time this year
I love how youre just pumping out all of these reviews now after all your trips, keep it up
Fury 325 is literally the upgrade of this in every way. They are both great though.
Yeah, Leviathan is a bit weaker, but again it was a first for B&M, so they didn't know how to really put in elements that would work for a giga coaster, and they didn't have a lot of space to work with, so it makes sense. But both are still great. They both made the top 10 steel coasters in the Golden Ticket Awards, so that shows both are world-class.
Yep Leviathan is the oringnal model and fury 325 is the upgrade
I wish B&M would try focusing on some ejector airtime on more of their hypers/gigas... and in general.
THIS
Not that they're not a top notch company :) I see the benefit to their graceful style, as a counterpart to Intamin, and I LOVE the hangtime on inverts and wing coasters. I just would love to see them do more forceful, maybe faster-paced stuff.
Fury has some really good ejector moments towards the end, and their inverts in general are very intense even when compared to Intamins.
Yeah I like their inverts. I've been on Raptor and Banshee, and Raptor is absolutely crazy. Banshee isn't the old-school B&M but still really good. It has those forceful loops and the awesome inline twist :D
I wish Skyrush had B&M clamshell restraints.
2:51 Riptide is the signature ride at Canada's Wonderland? WOW!
Kw6sTheater hehe I saw that
Huh
The only giga coaster I've had the chance to ride, and easily my favorite roller coaster ever. The sense of speed is phenomenal, and everything about the ride just feels so BIG. You truly feel like you are flying, diving down right to the ground and soaring back up hundreds of feet in the air. Man, I absolutely need to ride Fury 325 if it's really better than this.
love how youre just pumping out all of these reviews now after all your trips, keep it up
I've rode this a ton of times and it never gets old
She rides faster now. They've changed out the wheels and added weights in the front of each train.
Ah, makes sense then. I just got off it for the first time and thought it was fantastic, and actually quite close to Fury in terms of rankings. It felt faster than Fury honestly imo
I love how the track and supports are literally two shades of turquoise. Beautiful colour scheme!
I'm glad that you finally made a review of a roller coaster from my home park, I feel like CW doesn't get enough praise from the well known RUclipsrs like you and Coaster Bot (he still needs to do an explained video of this park), so thank you. :) Behemoth review next? :D
wolfcam0838 123 hi, sorry you feel that way. I promise more CW videos are on the way. I just have to balance it out with other parks, so there can't be too many CW videos compared to the others. As for the explained videos, Harry and I work on them together so we will add CW to the list of future parks to cover.
@wolfcam0838
Wonderland coaster line up is kind of Leviathan and Behemoth. The 3rd best coaster in the park is a suspended coaster Votex. Suspended's are usually at the bottom of a parks line up but the line up is weak beyond the first 2. The park has a vekoma SLC and boomerang which are pure garbage. Timewarp is a horrible flyer and it's only attribute is it takes up little space. The park should get a coaster in 2019 and hopefully a B&M wing or dive..1st in Canada either way. I hope the removal of Knott's boomerang is the start of the removal of boomerangs from CF's top parks, like they are doing with the stand ups. So, the Bat gets removed soon as it's older than Knott's boomerang. Flight Deck eventually gets replaced with a B&M invert, Vekoma inverts just plain suck. Maybe the park gets a RMC of Minebuster eventually.
Wonderland Coaster additions IMO
1) 2019 B&M wing or dive, prefer wing
2) Next RMC Minebuster or RMC Trex
3) Next B&M invert -
---Mix in removal of Bat-Vekoma Boomerang built 1987 , Dragon Fire - Arrow Looper built 1981 and finally TimeWarp the last removal when B&M invert comes
Leviathan 306😂
*Fury 306
Intimidator 305
@@hailey1818 you completely missed and ruined the joke
@@NotDavidz don't ruin it dumbass
@@cardio8133 how about you don’t ruin it boi
I think you mostly nailed this one on the head. Also, one of the best days I've ever had, my dad and I were at Wonderland and it rained for about half an hour after the park opened, leaving the park virtually empty for the rest of the day. There was just enough people left in the park to consistently run full trains on Leviathan for the momentum, but just barely so the wait to ride it was less than a minute; I must have ridden it at least 50 times consecutively.
Came home from a bad day at school to this. Mood level=extreme happiness
Very detailed analysis Taylor! I'd love to see some other coaster analysis at CW! I also know, I've rode Leviathan so many times and I have to agree the ride time really kills the ride experience. Overall, fantastic job
I enjoy leviathan more than millenium or intimidator and others. Probably one of my favourite rides ever.
thank you for all your efforts
Dope review, haven't seen many people talk about this ride.
DO A REVIEW OF BEHEMOTH!
NoLimits Guy agreed
NoLimits Guy agreed
And Yukon Striker when it opens
Probably won’t until he goes to CW for Yukon Striker this year
Samantha JellyCat oh ya I would love to see that too lol
I guess you could say Leviathan is inFuryer
The Saucetin EYYYY 👉👉
This should be the top comment.
LMAO
I hate you
@@SwiftNipples yes
i love your coaster reviews
I went on leviathan for the first time yesterday and it was my first giga coaster! It was so fun and probably my favorite coaster in the park that ive been on (i didnt go on flight deck, time warp or taxi jam). It has an awesome night ride i would recommend
Hooray! you finally went to one of my home parks!
I love the video. CW is my home park and I couldn't agree more, it's something to keep the GP happy and a great addition to the park but not too many elements and wastes speed. The park already has an airtime monster so I feel they should have gone with the more intense side like Carowinds. Then again, there's only five gigas in the world and I'm lucky to live so close to one. Love the channel!! Keep up the great work
the first 2 years it opened, the whole rode was intense and fast. I believe it was just the last couple of years that it became sluggish... IDK why. Great review BTW! 😊 looking forward for the behemoth review!
IVE BEEN WAITING TOO LONG FOR THIS
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS. I knew it would get a 9 considering its length but at least it gets a great score.
I'm glad you like this roller coaster keep up the good vids
First Canada Coaster review from u, cool
I am very lucky to have fury 335 at my home park! And lightning rod just a couple hours away! My top 2 coasters aren't far from me and it's great! I would love to ride laviathan sometime!
Gunnar Parrish you made one simple mistake and accidentally put fury 335
Every coaster enthusiast: *TRIGGERED*
Dang it I can't edit the comment and I am not sure why!! Sorry, I meant Fury 325
And also I am a very big coaster enthusiest and I got triggerd at myself I nearly slapped myself
That final brake run is the hight of an MCBR
Thank u!!!! I have always wanted to ride this.
This is my favorite coaster at Canada's Wonderland, it was the first coaster I have ridden in 16 years and it is the first coaster I ride for my 17 visits this summer. I think I have ridden it over 28 times this summer alone. I agree the front seat is best, but the back seat is not as bad as you make it out to be.... Bohemeth has the best back seat ride.
You bring up a great point about the momentum dying out near the end. It does seem weird that it would lose so much because of how fast the ride is. I'm guessing that it's that final airtime hill that takes away what is left. I wouldn't mind if that airtime hill wasn't there and they just added some elements close to the ground so you can get a better feel for how fast you are going. Or at least keep the hill and then add a couple more elements instead of that slow turn.
I do like seeing how small Dragon Fire is compared to Leviathan though. It's hilarious that its drop is lower than Leviathan's break run. I think the end break run is so long because there's no mid course break run, but it probably could be a tad shorter.
Glad you enjoyed the coaster! It's my favourite, but only because I haven't been to any of the other parks yet. Some day...
Also, best coaster in Canada? Yeah right. Taxi Jam is easily the top.
One time when I was waiting in the line for Leviathan and it started testing with anyone on it during mid day. My family had to leave the park to go somewhere and we saw the Leviathan train sitting in the valley between the final turn and final airtime hill. This was a windy day.
I love this ride. Not just because it's at my home park, but because it's so enjoyable!😜👌🏼🔥
Awsome reviews love it
You convinced me to ride the Leviathan good job, I'm actually afraid of heights but it wasn't that bad.
Good review I wouldn't compare it to fury as much as you did though. I know they're both b&m gigas but they are on completely different levels from each other and focus on very different things.
I actually rode on this last month and it freaked me out the first time X3 the second and third times were pretty enjoyable but this is the biggest I ever been on in my lifetime, what I been told by the public at Canada's Wonderland though is that Behemoth is more intense because it was hilly, but both are good.
It was nice for me to go to Canada for this. ^^
This is honestly my favorite roller coaster that I've ridden...haven't been on fury and i305 yet
Great review!
I was on a line and an annoying guy tried to impress me by saying "Yeah, Nitro is nothing after you've ridden Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland". I said "Oh, the B&M Giga? Yeah, I'd say Fury 325 is better." The guy looked confused and then left me alone after that.
leviathan is better then fury 325 and fury is overrated
Nicky D I wouldn't go that far, but yes, Fury is SEVERELY overrated
my opinion leviathan is the best giga around
My friend got on line for Steel Force once. So I got on line for i305 to show him up.
Coaster Frog Steel Force is better than Intimidator 305. Your friend sounds a lot cooler than you and you should give him all your money.
Anybody else think it would be really awesome if B&M made a floorless hyper/giga coaster? I think it'd be the best of both worlds for B&M getting the awesome airtime that you get on the hypers/gigas but with the more free feeling of the floorless coasters, it might just be cause I'm GP and haven't ridden as many coasters as Taylor but whenever i've ridden medusa at discovery kingdom, I always seem to get that floater airtime feeling from the first drop, same with the zero g roll, so I think a hyper/giga in the floorless style would be interesting, but again, maybe it's just me. Either way; Taylor, if you read this; your channel is by far the best coaster channel I have ever come across. Your videos are informative, hilarious, the coaster reviews are very well categorized and the footage is well put together. Thanks for the excellent content you provide for coaster enthusiasts, GP or otherwise lol
Has my vote for best color scheme on a roller coaster.
Finally yay leviathan review
This coaster is my fav I've only gotten a daytime front row corner seat ride still waiting for a night ride hopefully next year it definitely needs more theming tho
I actually can't wait to go on this but part of me is still nervous for the drop
Can you do one of behemoth? Keep up the great work!
I got to ride this last month, and I didn't have an issue with it losing steam, though I did go on a rather rainy day, so that may have had something to do with it. I do agree that Fury is better, but I still loved Leviathan, much more so than the other gigas.
In your top 5 giga coaster video you said that leviathan keeps its momentum and fucust on speed
John Theo But he didn’t ride Leviathan at the time he made that video.
It felt like it kept its speed well when I rode it, maybe it was running sluggishly when you rode it idk
I really want to ride this coaster!
this would make my top 10 favorite coasters
Coaster World Mine too
Leviathan and fury 325 have my two favorite color schemes
Are you going to do a park review for CW? I really liked leviathan(this was my first year riding it). I do agree it is short, and the brake run is super long. I wish it had some more hills and maybe another element or turn(helix?) but I do agree it slows down at the end. I love how intense the first drop is.
I like Behemoth better
Both are enjoyable in their own rights. Behemoth for air time hills and Leviathan for height and speed.
Aye I was just on that on Saturday!!
When did you go to CW? I loved the park, I hope you enjoyed the park!
I'm just waiting to hear the reviews for Everest and rock 'n' roller coaster
Leviathan is my favourite coaster!
Yay new video
Ride it during the summer at night. That's how you're gonna get more speed. Also, there are trims on the airtime hill so that might be another reason.
I've ridden it twice in different seasons. One was a freezing fall day and the other was a really hot summer day. I would have to say in the summer it felt a lot faster
based on the review i was surprised it got a 9 at the end. sounded like was leaning toward a lower rating. it's a great ride so glad it got a good score!
also why would it matter how long the end brake run is i wonder.
After all these years, still my #1 overall. Definately A+, or 10/10 for those using that type of scale.
4:21 I spy a triggered CanadaCoasterFan in here
Ha ha 😂
You went on a good day because when I went It was cloudy and cold and most rides were spilling out of the que. The freaking bat had a longer line than the SIGNATURE ATTRACTION
im 10 and this summer im going to canadas wonderland and im planning to go on this one since im FINALLY tall enough to go
Canadas wonderland is my home park and yes it does go faster at the end especially in a hot day
HE DID IT! THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN!
Is it possible to remove those trims on the airtime hills completely (at least the second one where it’s sluggish)? I think the trims combined with the cold weather are the reasons why it doesn’t haul as much.
90 or 100 first of we go by Celsius so you mean 20 degrees great review though loved it i was so hype for the canadas wonderland review
Don't forget about the TRIMS. That second set of trims actually suck the life out of this ride. It was still an awesome ride though! Also have my absolute favorite on ride photo of all time from Leviathan!
gplez91 yes, I do remember not loving the trims.
Would love a review of Behemoth.
Landroid Me too!
Actually, the best roller coaster in Canada is probably the country's oldest: Coaster at Playland in Vancouver. It has insane airtime, especially in the back seat. David Ellis says its back seat ride is one of the most intense rides in the world.
Boiii, my home coaster.
ride it at night when the trims are off
100% agree it's a front seat coaster -- night time is the best ride on it. The eyes on the tunnel light up and the night time view of Toronto at 306 feet is exquisite. I disagree it's the best coaster in Canada -- I actually think Behemoth is a better coaster. Behemoth is just a hyper, but has far more hills and elements. Leviathan is definitely all about the speed, but there seems to be more of a ride with Behemoth. I love them both though =) I've been on them a lot this season hehe.
Going on my cruise in May to Vancouver Canada next year
Lauri Carlson what does that have to do with this video..?
Go to Playland! It's in Vancouver and there is an old classic woodie called "Coaster" it apparently gives the most insane standing airtime on any coaster. Some people actually say it's better than Leviathan. Check out Canada Coaster Fan he has it at his home park.
Lauri Carlson Will you ride Coaster at PNE Playland while you are there.
Bruh why would you even say this because your not gonna have enough time to even be in canadas wonderland xd
It's insane
Now you just need to ride Steel Dragon 2000!
I was surprised when you said it is a short ride I love how long of a ride it is you are right when you say fury is better I would still give this a ten leviathan is my third favorite roller coaster maverick is better because it's so intense it has a launch and it's a really long ride and fury is better because it is tall faster more intense smoother and it is a longer ride fury 325 is the only b&m better than leviathan I love leviathan it's better than millennium force but idk about intimidator 305 I have not ridden it yet
RICHEY099 there's these things called commas and periods...
RICHEY099 fury not that faster or higher you don’t notice the speed diffrencd or or height
hey obunga
Yo
I ran out of breath reading this in my mind
Leviathan has a DTB time of 52 seconds so it is kinda short for a B&M hyper model
Kinda early squad where ya at!!!
Dang it. I was hoping you'd give it a 10.
Hello, I'm Brazilian and I've been watching your channel since last year, I understand few things you say in your videos. You might add subtitles in Portuguese please 🙏
"Is it the best coaster in Canada, Yes!" Someone needs to head west and ride Coaster at Playland
Hollywood rip ride rockit review pls
England is my city He already has one!
I can’t decide which I like more leviathan or behemoth but leviathan night ride back row is awesome
Nicholas B what
From all the time
Do Wooden Warrior at Quassy review
Yeah, thanks
What does it mean when a coaster "vallies" (at least that is what I heard).
i was on it before. but i'm mad that i cant ride it this year upset :(
Best coaster in Canada? Behemoth and Coaster at Playland might have something to say about that. Also, your review seemed positive but somewhat like warm, so a 9 seemed surprisingly high. Anyway, good review overall.
Like warm --> luke-warm
CCF. I aim to serve.
I predict a Behemoth review soon
Does the drop feel the same as Fury325? can you notice the difference? They are pretty similar on stats.
Surprisingly, I actually found Leviathan’s drop felt longer than Fury’s even though it is not.
Why dont they turn of all of leviathans trims???
When i was at Wonderland a few years ago Leviathan actually dominates one side of Canadas wonderland while Behemoth is on the opposite
Yukon dominates the back
