I saw model Midget for the first time when I was a little boy, and I'm still in love 💘with this car... ❣❣

There are 3 small lamps in the dashboard, top centre. one of them is a petrol ''gauge'' that flashes when you get to about one gallon left in the tank.

I would love to have one of the later t series MG's. They are just so classic

The prices are not bad at all for the T series cars. Check them out in Hemmings.

It is not an "MGA TF". It is a TF.. not an MGA.
The 1500 badges are available from many suppliers including Moss.
Good move, put the wet gas stick on the top tonneau. .
"Distributor with a grease fitting".. NO that is the tach drive.
"Twin SU carbs that were a bit larger than previous cars"
They are 1 1/2", same as the TF 1250 of 1954 and the TD Mk II models prior.
"They had an electric fuel pump just like the TFs did". This is a TF.
"Start lever".. that is not a lever.. it is a pull switch.
"I've really had great success keeping them run smoothly"... then why doesn't this one run smoothly, at minimum it needs the valves adjusted.

Thanks for your interest, and important points. I have since adjusted the valves and synced the carbs with the Moss tool. Much better now!

@@classicperformance I remember reading the Manual for the TF 1500 and they specified "do not grind the crankshaft", i guess they reckoned the old block has been stretched enough.

You make a great video man
You just talk about the car and not yourself
    Well done

Thanks!!! I think I missed a couple things and once called the "TF" an MGA in my rambling. It's a good old car to drive!

the car looks lovely, but had to wince when he put that gasoline covered measuring stick on the pristine cavas tonneau cover. THAT's going to leave a mark...as they say. :)

Why do people put wire wheels on these cars nearly all TF left the factory disc wheels.
The fuel gauge is a simple low level warning light on the dash.
The fuel level is visible simply by looking into the tank.

easy answer, because the wire wheels look so much better. This was an original wire wheel car and later upgraded to newer 72 spoke wire wheels. I guess you saw our "dip stick" for accurate level checking of the gas?

Love suicide doors, have to be careful, but they make it much easier to get into any car.

Thank you, and so true for access especially on smaller cars like the "TF" and for modern sized humans of today.

But it came without a heater. I had to have a used one put in.

Thanks! This TF is not a winter car any longer. We used to drive it year round to shows and events.

Wow.... 1955 and no gas gage. Only 20 years behind the standard of the day... compare this to a 55 Corvette... well there really is no comparison.

Yes, by the end of the "TF era, it was one of the last cars of the dated style and technology. We feel the MGA's launch was delayed as to not compete with the Healey 100 when it came out so it continued on for several years longer than anticipated. Thanks for the interest! Check out our C1 Corvette video for comparisons.
