I know this was about fabric stores, but ahhh it was so nice to see Parque del Retiro in the fall and that little glimpse of Palacio de Cristal... Looking forward to see what you make with your new fabrics!

It was such a beautiful day there! Crisp and cool but not freezing...and all the ducks in and around the pond :-) I'm glad you enjoyed the glimpse, too!

Lovely fabric shops and your gorgeous fabric. I have been checking where to stay in Valencia or Madrid so I can come and check out the fabric shops. xx

I visited a couple of fabric stores in Seville, hoping to get some fabric and a pattern for my second flamenco dress. In my broken Spanish they acted like I was nuts expecting to find patterns in a fabric store. They said you must buy them online. Is this what you found to be true in Valencia and Madrid?

Hi Susan! Yes, I haven't found traditional patterns at any shops here. But have you seen the magazines that have patterns inside? I think a lot of people use those, too. I've never gotten into those as you have to trace the patterns and with the language barrier...it's easier to get them online and have them printed :-)
