Iris, not all software engineering jobs could be done from everywhere you want and without a degreed
The jobs with most impact in people's life must be done on site and they need a solid base not just only focus on to learn a programming languaje but in a specif field too.
I'd like you to try to share this on your videos 'cuz I have seen most of people just want to learn how to code just to create web sites that does not contribute to people's life or just to earn money.
objectives are getting loss of what coding is.

Man, she is just trying to sell a dream .. she doesn't understand that tech job market changed a lot globally, there are a huge number of people now searching for a job and so the competition is super high. She shouldn't advice people a path that she didn't do .. she isn't self-taught, she has a college degree.. her mentor were self-taught but they have been programming for years, not yesterday, when the market was different.
Another thing she got a remote job as a senior because she is a lady and company, from my prospective, wants to have a diversify environment and since ladies are really few in tech, it is easier for them to enter.

you’re totally right, it is definitely not easy and a hard path at times! I never said it is simple, nor are there guarantees for success just like with anything else in life :) With this video I merely want to show that you don’t have to do things the way everyone else does them.
