Thank you so much for your putting out these videos! After weeks of doctors visits & telmed I had to take my 87 year old father to hospital yesterday! Because of covid I they came to my car & put him in wheelchair & I was not able to go in with him! He has congestive heart failure & fluid has accumulated in his lungs & around his heart. I am very disappointed that his cardiologist did not catch this when he was seen in office 10 days ago. I finally took him to his primary care office & after running tests they called me & told me to take him to hospital! He is in stable condition now & they are trying getting the fluid out. Its been 30 yrs since I studied these things & your videos are so helpful at refreshing my memory & learning new things! Thank you for taking the time to make them🙏🙏
At 55 diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy. EF of 23 and complete LBBB. Have always been a runner and never had a symptom. Diagnosis discovered during routine exam. 5 years later EF back up to 55. Low end of normal. Nothing they can do about LBBB other than Coreg which seems to be a miracle drug. Still have never felt a symptom. Only explanation my Dr has is my body was able to compensate enough for me not to notice.
Dr John, how is the training effect affected by heart failure? Young, healthy, and sedentary people can improve circulation and oxygenation in relatively short order, but sick and elderly people ultimately cannot recover. What processes are affecting older people - what is the difference???
Most watching this are students learning that’s awesome. I’m watching to try to find some answers for my mom who seems to be in heart failure like this video states. Is there any hope???? She’s on oxygen but it doesn’t help much. Her legs and feet are swollen. The Drs don’t have an answer yet they never said there’s no hope
My dad was 69 he died in his sleep last week he had been shuffling around with a swollen feet weezy and dizzy for a while . He said it was his gout and vertigo, can't believe it / his death certificate said acute myocirdal incufincy and left ventricular hypertrophy and cornery artery arthrrlotos could my dad have been resusated if this happen he while he was awake or was it to late by this stage he was also a alcoholic was this a factor in his condition
Hi Dr. Campbell, I have hypotension and pulmonary oedema, I am anemic, I feel like I can’t get enough air and a cough all the time! I am 40 years old, would you say I am at risk for a complete heart failure, is it something I should take care of urgently?
Dr. John Campbell yes I have seen lots!! Sorry I must have misspelled. I have HYPOTENSION. And after spinal fusion my body does not want to heal, produce bone, I am actually losing calcium. If I understand correctly - losing calcium could be an effect of the heart failure?
My doctor thinks it’s perfectly normal for me to enter menopause and getting osteoporosis.... I can’t agree!! I’m getting a medicine equal to Vistaprep (drinking 4 liters of medication) tomorrow but I’m worried that that might worsen the heart failure? Could it?
