  • One morning a truck pulls out of his parking spot and hangs a hard right turn... He almost ripped my hood off and sped away. I chased the truck on foot across the lot. Adrenaline pumping, I caught the truck and stopped him before he left. This is how my morning started off near Chicago, Illinois.

You did a fantastic job repairing your shaker...
What kind of resin did you use?

Fiberglass resin from home depot. It's held up good and the hood feels solid and heavier lol when I open it

Not gonna last. That's smc no regular fiberglass

I just learned that the hard way. Fiberglass resin won't stick to smc, you need to use smc resin to achieve the best results...

How did you fix the separation? What did you use to keep it together before applying the fiberglass?

    • @EricWrenchMotors

Sanding in the gap and letting the liquid resin soak in there, adding layer after layer of fiberglass cloth over top.
