    John Jorgensen on the G&L Asat and twin AC 30s. The sound and style that influenced Brad Paisley. Great tone!

    This band is beyond any mortal expectations. excellent musicians if there ever were any in one group as DRB. John may now be called aka King of the Tele. JD Maness none better on pedal steel. mosrite60

    • @jmodmon2
      @jmodmon2 7 лет назад +5

      mosrite60 What a great blend of musicians....John & JD are string legends and Chris Hillman is the epitome of the workingman’s musician, from Byrds, Burritos, Manassas and solo stuff to DRB, I’ve been a devoted fan since the beginning (including Scottsville Squirrel Barker’s)But let’s not anybody forget about Herb Peterson.......wow, if people really knew what a force he has been in some of the music that runs through their lives, whether they’re a casual listener or a music junkie,; You’d be surprised. Along with Chris, Herb is one of the many bedrock people ( along with a host of others: Richie Furray, Tim Schmidt, the Eagles & a shitload of others) who have made a major, major impact on the music we listen to, some 45 years later. I would argue that “Herb Pederson” has been more than a part and a deep foundation that has been a part of music

      @@jmodmon2 Pedersen has legit string playing chops too. In the 60s he filled in for Earl Scruggs on banjo in the Foggy Mountain Boys for a time.

    this is the real deal...no running around the stage and spouting off hip-hop rhymes like some bands do now that are pretending to be country. This isn't "Hank" country, but it's certifiably the real deal.

    yes, a great version... but I urge everyone to take a listen to Redwing do it. Tons of guitar, energy and great vocals! Their entire debut album (1971) is a desert island pick, and they paved the road for cowpunk and the Desert Road Band 20 years later. Check it out!

    I think John Joegenson was actually Brad Paisley's inspiration as a guitar player growing up. I remember reading about that somewhere.

      Yep... John was /is Brad's inspiration for a long time. He is his favourite guitar player. Skill wise and also his tone. (slightly cranked Vox AC 30' for rich tele sounds)
