Thanks for the link to the poles. I just went on Amazon and bought a set. I have two Moon shades. One for my work van one for recreation times. I even have used both for rain protection. The poles will really help at work when I don't want to be connected to my van.

Been following for a while and finally subscribed. Really appreciate the content especially on the hiker platform. Lots of helpful info and looking forward to putting in an order on one here soon. Looking forward to the fun adventures you guys are doing. Any advice on the buying process or anything. We are looking to do the extreme off road route. Thanks!! Keep up the great work.

Thanks for subscribing! As you know there are a lot of options to choose from. The 3 trailers all sit at different heights, the extreme off road is definitely higher - Wendy teases that she would need a crate or step to get into it :-).

When attached to the pickup truck - where did you get the pole that is on the roof of the truck? Mine did not come with that.

Could you add a 9' bar instead of the 7' where it attaches to the roof, so you could still use the magnets? I have a 12' cargo trailer, and would like to have the longer side next to trailer.

It comes with a 7' bar, but you could use your own that was any length that worked for you. The circles that are attached to the magnets would fit most awning pole diameters.

So - After 2 years later - Are you "still" liking the Moon Awning?
Has it become a PITA to set up (test of time) ?
Care to share the positives & the bad stuff as well... THX

Those orange things are Nite Ize gear ties: amzn.to/3mHvcrG
They are a great addition to have with you on a trip. They are like a rubberized twist-tie that can be used in so many ways.

This would also make a great Christmas Present. I always give my son strange things for Christmas or his Birthday... He admitted that he thinks I'm silly... then all of a sudden the strange weird things I buy for him... come in handy...
That is because Mama Knows Best...LOL
I'm 68 years old... and have learned (the hard way) on what we don't even know we need when we need it...
I pack Toilet Paper and Paper Towels EVERYwhere... You never know when you're going to need it... OH and Baby Wipes... (I should buy stock in that too).
I was in a massive FLOOD in 2008...
Did not have fresh running water at our RV Camp for one month...
I learned to Camp the old fashion way... and learned a lot... LOL
They call me a Prepepper now... LOL

This awning is on my wish list. How easy would it be for a 5' 2" woman to set it up by herself?

    • @MWDAdventures
      @MWDAdventures  Год назад +1

The hardest part would be attaching it to our roof due to the height - so it depends on how tall your roof is. But in reality, it is not difficult at all.

How well do the suction cups hold.

They have upgraded the suction cups to a bigger version that works well.
