This is a match where the highlights just don't do the match justice. This was probably one of the best squash matches that I have ever seen. The pace and intensity displayed throughout the match was phenomenal.
Fisa Misa I don't know for sure, but it was shaping up to be a great match, too bad Nick had to withdraw. He has been at his finest this year, really technical and incredibly hungry against much younger players. You have to admit he was amazing at the Windy City Open! But who cares, right? We got a great show with Ramy and Shorbagy.
Shorbagy fought back as he always does but ashour just has that magic and conjured yet another win over his younger opponent shorbagy played well but ashour on form is too much even if matthew beat shorbagy ashour i think still would win
very dramatic final...could have gone either way at the end...i think there was humidity collecting on the floor during the match, tough problem with outside court
Haven't seen the full thing but moments like 9:51 show El Shorbagy has some mental work to do - not a focused return. Still, both fought off their share of match balls. His time will come! ("Mentored by the great Jonah Barrington" - come now...)
dalstonjazz Oh sure, nothing against Jonah (or Joey). Just a funny way to refer to your own father. There were other things he could have mentioned about El Shorbagy, like that he'd won 3 of the last 5 PSA World Series events.
Shorbagy had 4 championship balls nd cudnt convert one.. Wil he be converting dose in the future?? Is the thing to look forward to, in this amazing game of squash.. Well played..you both have taken this game to a next level.
TheHilarious91 Fully agree, in this point there were actually 2 lets (if not one stroke) for Shorbagy.Again - as so many times - Ashours´s acting seems to impress the masses and refferres more than ElShorbagy´s calmness. People simply like showmen and tend to adore, forgive them and judge subjectively. Simple psychology of masses...Talking about ElShorbagy´s "psychological weakness" is ridiculous given the fact that Ashour had the first match point. ElShorbagy is one of the strongest ones on tour in this matter. No question - Ashour is an amazing player, but there are a bunch of them in the top 10 and ElShorbagy is definitely one of them as well. Glorifying just one of these players is clearly biased. But hey - the world is not just, neither are referees or spectators.
pavolhomola77 it was obvious that Ashour was doing some low kills and intentionally stood in his opponent way. It's a shame that top player in the world failed to play professionally
TheHilarious91 you are only watching the highlights. The point before Shorbagy blocked Ramy and he was visibly annoyed with Shorbagy so this was Ramy doing it back at Shorbagy
Ashour still has this little prodigy superiority complex I think, whereas Shorbagy despite his younger age already has the real mature champion class and a real sportsmanship behavior that only a few can show in a pro career. I hope to see him winning soon against this over acted egocentrism from Ashour.
These two have the sickest matches... Amazing squash!
BEST. SPORT. EVER.
Just amazing..these two have taken squash to another level
There's a reason you love Ramy and it's the same reason why you love Roger Federer. Both are Legends
Ramy is pure magic, he keeps coming back from injury and winning major titles. Unbelievable, I wonder what his fitness routine is!
one of the best games i've ever seen
And with that, PSASquashTV now has 10,000 new subscribers to the full games on their website.
Kwistenbiebel200 Australian dollar is getting stronger day by day so not long :)
This is my favorite match they ever had. I feel most exciting.
7:51 i think ramy has been doing a few crunches
GFMRLL hahaha a few thousand...
What an incredible final !!
I fell so sorry for Elshorbaggy, both really deserved that one...
But it's good to see Ramy again :)
This is a match where the highlights just don't do the match justice. This was probably one of the best squash matches that I have ever seen. The pace and intensity displayed throughout the match was phenomenal.
still unmatchable performance by two of the legends
this was the most ridiculously amazing match ive ever seen!
Please put the full match on youtube sometime. Maybe on Christmas or another special occasion.

I miss this ramy
Please allah bring back this ramy
when ever these two guys play each other, something amazing ought to happen. Great game of Squash.
Amazing! Though I was hoping for a repeat on the fireworks like last year. :)
I hope Ramy gets another moment like this again. He is so much fun to watch, and he is so happy at the end. Haven't seen Ramy that happy in a while...
what a come back! outstanding tournament for Ramy Ashour!!!
This has got to be on of the best matches in squash history
WhyPigs , i won't say history but i would definitely say in last 5 years..
These both have the best matches insane squash
Haha, the closing of this was hilarious. Joey's laugh during the stray fireworks, Shorbagy's cup coming off its base, the never ending confetti...
Jonster123 lol, no fire this year, silver confetti
Incredible squash...........sooo quick and lethal........amazingly fast.
4:56 What a brutal pace!!
Amazing squash. I wonder how it would've gone down if Nick hadn't hurt himself, he was playing at an insane level, as is Ramy.
Renato Tomei you think nick would have gone past Shorbagy's in the semi? I don't think so
Renato Tomei Me too, we haven't seen a match between those two at their best in a while, interesting style matchup.
The wrist of Ramy Ashour Is so strong, And what a shot :) The match overall Is amazing, The pace Is ridiculous
that was sick OMG i want to see the full match
Believe in the artist!
9:02 Ashouresque as Joey wound have said... SOTM contender
the pace those 2 first games was ridiculous
HOLY. SHIT.
Can anyone tell me what's the name of the song at the end of the video ???
Shorbagy fought back as he always does but ashour just has that magic and conjured yet another win over his younger opponent shorbagy played well but ashour on form is too much even if matthew beat shorbagy ashour i think still would win
Among Ramys career, this is my favorite.
is it possible to get those jerseys?
Ramy, the most, slickest, smoothest, smartest squash player I've ever seen.
very dramatic final...could have gone either way at the end...i think there was humidity collecting on the floor during the match, tough problem with outside court
Unbelivable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is why he is the worlds best
This is proof that when fit Ramy is the best in the world, electric
What is the name of the song that starts at 11:28?
Thunderous squash!
Haven't seen the full thing but moments like 9:51 show El Shorbagy has some mental work to do - not a focused return. Still, both fought off their share of match balls. His time will come!
("Mentored by the great Jonah Barrington" - come now...)
Jacob Eliosoff A bit unfair on Jonah - he has been a big figure in developing squash, in Britain particularly.
dalstonjazz Oh sure, nothing against Jonah (or Joey). Just a funny way to refer to your own father. There were other things he could have mentioned about El Shorbagy, like that he'd won 3 of the last 5 PSA World Series events.
Imagine the level of adrenaline in these two. In this match, they were out of range for any other squash player. Different universe.
Such a good game!
Shorbagy had 4 championship balls nd cudnt convert one..
Wil he be converting dose in the future?? Is the thing to look forward to, in this amazing game of squash..
Well played..you both have taken this game to a next level.
Amim Ahmad Don't forget that ashour had a similar situation in world championship last year when he was 10-6 in the final game and won 14-12
Yes Neil..rightly said..ashour always overcome situations like dese n being a fan of elshorbagy, i want him to win dese finals!
well done ash
great match
Can anyone tell me which is the song played at last?!
"Baladi" by Dalida singer. Baladi means my home country in Arabic.
amazing game!
Its called بشرة خير
bagy with better mental balance is a champion in the near future..else he will go the gaultier way :)
Surely they could have thought of something other than Eye of the Tiger for the players' entrance
Guys does anyone know which racquet Ramy is using currently? Is it the Prince Pro-beast 750?
He went back to the Prince TT 130. That's what I'm currently using. Brilliant racquet. Latest doesn't always equal best. :-)
***** you sure he went back to that and not the pro-beast?
Adham Darwish I do believe so mate. I read somewhere that he did. And if you look closely it does look like he's using the TT130.
GREAT MATCH EVER, RAMY ASHOUR THE REAL NUMBER 1
12:27 confetti madness!
super awesome game......ashour came back from 6-10 to win the title!!!!! holy mother of God!!!!!!!
no fireworks this year?
Joeys best commentary last year - "shorbaggys asking for the court cleaners to come on"
never seen ramy miss like that before on the first match point.. he looked shocked at himself
Unfair call for El, 10-7 definitely a let, ashour was in his line
TheHilarious91 Fully agree, in this point there were actually 2 lets (if not one stroke) for Shorbagy.Again - as so many times - Ashours´s acting seems to impress the masses and refferres more than ElShorbagy´s calmness.
