Streets and LA such as El Segundo Balboa sapulveda and others are not named after Mexicans the they're named after Spanish explorers that conquered Mexico.
Sepulveda was named after the sepulveda family they were “californios” meaning hispanic/mexicans that were in cali when it was still mexico. El segundo was named after the city of el segundo, el segundo was considered a ranch at the time it was owned by a mexican named Antonio Ygnacio Avila, then sold.
