People not old enough to remember....the original release of this song had a verse included with " use me" and "abuse me" that also included "Jew me". It was a big deal in the papers and world news. MJ appeased the establishment by pulling all unsold CDs of this song remaining on all shelf's nationwide and redid the song editing out " Jew me". That's manifested power and control over musicians that both Prince and George Michael and also others like Madonna fought to overcome. Just imagine if the record execs and radio producers would collude to stifle one of the greatest performers ever (two including Biggie), the extent of their evil ways. This was a badazz song that most people don't even know exist.

Most of all the songs on the 'HIStory' album have deep meanings to them. It makes me so upset to think that Michael really wasn't happy. 'Stranger in Moscow' and 'Tabloid Junkie' are 2 of my personal favourites and if you listen or look at the lyrics. They are so meaningful. Prince was a multi instrumentalist, singer, actor, producer etc. Prince never lip synced. Sadly MJ did. Prince would do a different set list every night. MJ had to be carefully rehearsed. I'm not biased as I love both of them. Also not deluded. Just enjoy both their genius. And throw bowie into that who is a genius like these two as well.

Growing up listening to MJ. I've never heard this song. It was only until recently I've discovered this, and I'm in love. I think it's because my mum didn't like Biggie, so she hid this song from me. Now that I'm older, I'm glad to say this is one of my favourite MJ Songs ever.

What’s more sad about that allegations... those were the people he had helped and instead of thanking MJ they wanted to get more money from him. Chandler who was his companion touring around the world, Arvizco who was healed from cancer and Robson who worked for him and now a choreographer and celebrity. 😑 I dont blame the kids coz as what MJ said its the parents (except for Wade) 💔
I think History is the only album where we can truly get a glimpse at Michael's world/inner self: his opinion of the press/tabloids, with his own fame, his concern with the world, his love life and, also he as a fan (I always smile sadly at his rendition of that final track).
All songs have meaning behind them, some where thought for previous albums but didn't make the cut, I think because MJ didn't feel they showcase his feelings at that time. Other were made according to his life at that point (they are obvious).
However, by the time History was released, his good-boy image had been tainted. The press was no longer making up crazy stories like the hyperbaric chamber or elephant man's bone; no, the press was darker, attacking the very man, with malice.
The world for MJ was not a welcoming place anymore. It was as it people took pleasure in being hurtful and offensive towards a man who was shy to a fault, that never seeemed to gather the enough strength to fight back in an "adult" way.
Unfortunately, even after his death the press didn't leave him alone, however much I miss his presence in the world, I'm content that he can't feel the hurt anymore. You got it Michael, this time around you'll never get bit again.
Michael Jackson : too trustful, too good , too great, too powerful , too much knowledge of the world dirt , too much sincere in telling truth of everything . He was crucified. But remain FOREVER alive as a TRUE LEGEND. His legacy will carry on through his millions of loyal fans .
Yeah, when you realize the transition from the Dangerous album to HIStory. You begin to notice a more darker and more raw edge to Michael's style of music. Almost like the events of 1993 transformed him into someone who is willing not to put up with that type of abuse the world was giving him by that point. You can tell from here and Invincible that MJ was starting to mature with his music way more than it ever had before...
The thing I do wonder is this though. Had the events of 1993 hadn't happen would have things been different?

@@KnottsBear-yTalesPreserved Good questions honestly, I always enjoyed Dangerous when I first listened to him back then and HIStory is extremely underrated and explores a lot of the darker themes one wouldn’t expect from a Michael Jackson album. People always remember Thriller, Bad and Off the Wall, but his work in the 90s showed him experimenting with a rap element that portrayed his emotions on the controversies with so much fury and disdain for those that had it out for him
