A very amusing classic who done it. A will, a house full of greedy relatives and murder. "No one can leave until the murder is solved" I get a kick out of the blustering local Sheriff calling Ellery Queen by the names of other famous detectives like Chan and Philo.
I enjoyed the film, but am so confused by the plot. Aunt Sophia’s will left everything to an unnamed companion, and as far as I recall, is never mentioned or introduced. With that being said, why was the whole plot based on a non-existent estate of Aunt Sophia. Kill the Aunt’s companion and free up the estate for the former named heirs to fight over

If it's a good movie, as this one is, I think we can make an exception.
I've never cared for Ellery Queen stories. He's always such a snob.
