I personally did not enjoy Foreign Exchange at first couple listens, but I'll give it another try since you've rated it so high. Thank you for another great video!

Thank you for watching and your supportive comment yayin, it clicked with me first time so it might be an acquired taste but hopefully you get more out of it by spinning it some more :)

Decided to pick up Schlagenheim recently after you introduced me to Cavalcade. Can fully reccomend Afrique Victime and giving Bright Green Field more of a listen!

Fantastic video, and I love the way you formatted it. You might have seen my list already and noticed we definitely have a lot of favourites in common, Cavalcade is currently my number one and I don’t see that changing but… I wasn’t even aware of the RX Papi album and it sounds sick. I’ll be listening to that tomorrow for sure.
You need to listen to the new Godspeed, it’s easily their strongest post-reunion album imo!! Also be sure to dig into the Mag Bay, Lingua Ignota and LUM albums. All in my top five.
Have you ever listened to Black Dresses? I know you like noisy whacked out yet catchy shit so I strongly recommend you try their most recent two albums. Their stuff before then is generally quality and full of personality but those last two are on another level for me in terms of relentless abrasive ear candy. Almost scratches that Death Grips itch in their absence, not to fall into the trap of comparing any experimental industrial artist to them or anything - they are still very much their own thing and not for everyone (I can understand the vocals in particular being a huge turnoff for a lot of people, their cadences are very deliberately sketchy and seemingly amateurish but it’s an aspect of their sound that clicked hard for me). Also CREEP U is the best song of the last few years imo (though Slow and John L come close as probably the only other contenders!)
Some other random recommendations I think you might like...
Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders - Promises
Twin Shadow - self-titled (never been a fan of his before so this one kinda shocked me. Warm, fun, funky, beautifully mixed and versatile music that blows his previous work out of the water, easily one of the most underrated albums of the year)
Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert (Grey Area is better imo but I seem to be the only person in the world who thinks this... both great projects from one of the best emcees going regardless)
Aaron Dilloway & Lucrecia Dalt - Lucy and Aaron (lots of simultaneously disgusting and satisfying noises twisted into something resembling music, easily one of the most aesthetically interesting releases of the year but unlike a lot of similar music it feels organic and compelling as actual music with tangible progression)
Turnstile - Glow On (Not sure what your stance on post-hardcore is but this fuses it with a kinda gummy modern alt pop vibe and it’s a really fun twist)
    Hope your year goes great!!

Thank you very much Eddy Baby!!!! I really appreciate your comment and for watching mate, thank you! These recs all sound my cup of tea as you knew so thanks so much for them, I'll be checking out all of them. The only one I have checked out already was the Little Simz record; being totally honest I just can't get into this album because her voice is so dry and deadpan to me. It was frustrating as hell hearing about a Hip-Hop album with orchestral elements being so highly regarded, hearing that it was like 'oh this was made for me' but her delivery rubs me the wrong way and the orchestration doesn't excite me. Saying that I've heard early, more ampt up Little Simz like Dead Body and much prefer it. I feel like such a judgmental prat hearing her new album and thinking 'it's not doing anything for me this' when it should be. Who knows though, might have to try it again some other time!
I didn't know about your list so went through and enjoyed it mate. As well as RX Papi I'd also check out Darkside for sure. You might find similarities with Bladee's Exeter on how RX Papi's project sounds but like I say the vocal delivery and lyrics seriously throw gut punch after gut punch. Even if it's not to your appeal thanks for at least trying out an album through my recommendation :) Hope you're doing well

@@yourefinallyhome Honestly that’s my main issue with the Simz album, her delivery is noticeably repetitive and kind of monotone in terms of cadence and I feel like she stays in her comfort zone flow-wise way too much. It’s super noticeable considering the scale of the instrumentation and just the album as a whole is so much larger in scope than her last album and it really bugs me. It’s something barely anyone seems to be paying any attention to. In pretty much all other aspects aside from a slightly drawn out tracklist and some of the interludes not landing I’m still very much on the cusp of loving the album, but hearing Simbi challenge herself more would’ve pushed it to justifying the hype levels a lot more for me, I think. Her delivery was more varied on Grey Area and that album has some of the more raw hard hitting stuff too. If you haven’t tried that album I recommend it highly over retrying SIMBI if you plan on giving her another shot! It’s pretty brisk too.
The Darkside album is on my list of releases to catch up on, Nico Jaar is one of my favourite artists and I’m big on his 2020 output in particular so I have no idea why I still haven’t dipped into that one yet. I think I want to retry Spiral first as I haven’t spun that since it came out, back when I most likely didn’t have the ear for it. Rest assured I’ll be getting around to both this month :)
The RX album is easily the strongest work I’ve heard from him and I feel like I sorta get his idiosyncratic appeal now, whereas before (having tried repeatedly to get into that super long track he dropped earlier this year) I didn’t vibe with him, so again I appreciate the rec :)
Lmk what you think of any of the albums you try! Always keen to get people on the Black Dresses hype train.

@@doxophobiac Fab I will give them a try and let you know my thoughts! Would also throw in the Pierre Bourne album as a recommendation too, it was my summer album so perfect to listen to now haha

@@yourefinallyhome I’ll give it a try, especially if it blows WLR outta the water as you say... I didn’t really care for that one :(

@@doxophobiac Unrelated but you ever tried Nadia Oh? Female artist who had the whole PC Music aesthetic back in 2007, pretty crazy, hot like wow is an awesome song you would like. The producer who worked with her ended up doing a lot of Gaga's Fame Monster material
