@@waifuracer6516 in most cases it's not so much that they don't want to, they can't afford it, and those who can afford would rather spend less tien getting something fresh and ready to go rather than to wait till the old machine is fixed. And repair prices are also to be considered.

As an Aussie, living in Texas for the past 15 years, I too noticed the similarities of Andrew and Marty. But the accent reminded me of my skiing days on Mount Hutt nearly 50 years ago.
Great work on the excavator. It is simply amazing the amount of high quality expensive machines and vehicles that people just discard and dispose of. This video interested me because it is exactly what I have personally been doing for decades by obtaining free or very cheap vehicles of all shapes and sizes and resurrecting them back into functional, useful machines. It gives me an amazing sense of accomplishment and satisfaction to bring back to life something that very few people could or would be able to do. Keep up the great work my friend!

Everything from a horribly corroded handgun found at the bottom of a lake to a large dump truck that had not been started in 38 years. Recently was given a huge 40 foot motorhome that had not ran in 15 years and had sat for so long that it had sunk 3 feet deep into the ground, got it operational and drove it 20 miles to my home. These kinds of things seem to never end!

What I like about these channels is that it doesn't have to be perfect. Just get that Old Iron running again. Check out MartyT's channel. He started small but provided great content. Wow your other video just popped up in my recommendations a few hours ago before i went to bed and i liked it alot and now i woke up and this!!! When i was a child i always wanted to have an excavator in the 12-15 ton range, now i want one with at least 50 tons. I grew up.

Turns a good machine into a great machine. Even in non hydraulic, a fixed will do amazing stuff. That will it start, lost in a jungle, rats eating the working shizzle was very captivating. Subbed. A great mechanic,operator and a man who preserves everything.Not relying on something new.Except some spareparts you need to change it new.Only tracklinks,panels, hydra hoses and if you can afford some fibre glass for the window panels.Also you can build your own cover panels for the wire housing and fuse box.Including new lights for night working (if you need to install it).thats all my suggestion. You're living the dream keep it up. I once found a generator abandoned in a forest in Germany back in the 80s. Had to give it back to the British army though, they'd lost it whilst training.
You should have asked them "What colour was it? (Spike Milligan had to find a 5.5 inch army howitzer that had rolled back over a cliff from the recoil effect. His first meeting with Harry Secombe was at the army camp at the bottom of the cliff. Spike asked Harry if he had seen a howitzer roll through. Harry answered "What colour was it?" Spike thought to himself "I like him. I need to have a longer talk with this fellow later.....")

dude, what an absolutely amazing find. your neighbor is awesome.. even if all you did was scrap it youd get several thousand dollars.. but the level of efficiency in future work has just been greatly increased.. So awesome. god i cant stand living in the city.. i need the woods and trees and creeks and peace. I cant stand the commotion and craziness and violence and ignorance that comes along with living in a major city.

So are most farm animals really despite people thinking of them as "stupid". pigs are a lot like dogs when raised by people too, probably even smarter. Even cows can be playful/curious like dogs, just dont have the same mobility

I don't know if you're much of a welder, but if you can find the correct size thumb to weld on it, it would make things so much easier for you.
