Those were the days? @@gerry45 Mary Hopkins 😅
10 out of 10. Jailhouse Rock was the first movie I ever remember seeing. Born in ‘53.
Wot a great year to be born.
@ProbablySoonerThanLater Good morning Phil. I'm so sorry I forgot to tell you about myself. I'll be 72 at the end of January. I was married for 35yrs to a right bastard ( sorry for my language but he was ). I stuck it out for my kids, I had nowhere to go as I'd lost both my parents. He wouldn't go, and if he did he swore that I couldn't have my kids. I never bothered to report him as he said that he'd kill me, and he meant it. I didn't even tell his mother/father for the same reason. My youngest daughter told his mother, but she done nothing. He didn't work, but I had 2 jobs, I couldn't let my kids go without. He started drinking like a 🐟 🐠 fish and if I was awake when he came home he would beat me. Eventually he went to jail, nothing to do with me. I took my chance, I moved into a small flat on my own and finally divorced him. I have 3 kids a son from a previous relationship and 2 daughters. I'm finally better off financially as he was stealing from me and I'm emotionally better. As he hadn't worked I didn't feel guilty about taking the contents from the house, I'd paid for them. I was only allowed out of the house 🏠 to go to work and shopping, and he came shopping with me. Now I can do as I like when I like, not that I go very far. I can even spend the day in my pyjamas. I'm only telling you this as I'm an honest person and as I'm now your friend it's best that I tell you the truth about me. I really am happier now than I've ever been. I hope after reading this you still want to remain friends with me. I'm crying my eyes 👀 out telling 😭 you this, as it hurts so much 🏴💞🫠😭🌞

9 out of 10
Same here.
10/10. I had an older brother & older sister that were part of that generation of music!
10/10 I am 81 !! I remember the songs and the lyrics xx
Born in 1945. got 10/10. This music will never die!
Got them all correct
Born in 1954. 10 outta 10 ...
Got them all right . Background music for me for years . Wish I was on quiz show answering for money .
Your question, who wrote and sang "Does Your Bubble Gum Lose Its Flavor"? No cheating and looking it up. LOL
@@pauladair3765 ❤️
Lonnie donnigun sang the bubble gum song I am from the uk thanks
@christinelarkin2361 Yes he did. I'm also from the UK Wales to be exact
10/10. 4 years old in 1958. Never forgotten!
3 yrs old ... gotta love a mother and grand mother that loved music. 😊
Graduate in 1961 great times.
I WAS BORN IN 1957 AND I STILL GOT 10 OUT OF 10. I GREW UP LISTENING TO THESE GREAT CLASSICS
Got all of them right. Was 7 years old in 1958. Great music.
Me too I was born in 49.
10 of 10, but then again, I grew up in that era! Born in’46.
I was 17 in '58, so I remember them all. But the last question I think was incorrect. "I'm Walkin" was actually recorded by Ricky Nelson from Ozzie and Harriet in 1957. "Walkin' to New Orleans" was actually the title of Fats Domino's 1960 song. So their research needs a bit of work on accuracy.
@ I agree.
Brings back memories. God Bless you Mr Robert’s.
I got 10 out of 10 too. I was born in 1945
I got 9 out of 10 -- Born in 1948, ❤ so I was 10! 😂 Cheers & thanks 🙏🏼 for the reminders 👍🏼 of great music! 🎉
I was just turning 5 Years at the end of 1958…..I got them all right….always loved this kind of music and times !
I got 9 out of 10 right.
Great music 🎶 great memories 😊
I'm 70, had brothers 10&12 years older and listened to their music as a little kid, 10 out of 10
10 out of 10 again I was born in 1949 our family entertainment was all around the radio listening to music like that
YO Y'ALL born in 54 but got them all, 50's - 70's some of the very best tunes ever.
100% - I listened to the music during that time as my parents always had the radio on. I am 74 yrs young and still listening to the best music made in the period from the fifties to the seventies.
10/10 Too easy. And I was born in 1961. I guess my mum and dad played a lot of them.
Same here, born in '63. Dad was 23 and Mom was 18 when I was born and there were all kinds of music playing in our house. Oh, 9/10 was my score.
@ also when I was younger I was sometimes a teenage DJ for the local youth club, but I’m sure I wouldn’t have been playing more ch older stuff then. I guess as we get older we also appreciate music more. I was only 16 when Elvis died and I admit I didn’t really appreciate his music then or how great a performer he was sadly until later in life.
Got them all and I was only 10 in 1958. Great music. Thanks for the fun
Born in 61 and knew the lot, Great music stays great.
I got them all! Our house always had music playing and a large variety of artists. I consider my upbringing a blessing!
I was only 9 YO in 1958, and I could name all of the artists, even without the listed four choices. My favorite music was from the mid-1950s through the 1960s. Still rockin'.
I was 6 in 1958 and me too!
I was born in. 1957 and I got them all right. I love the music that my siblings grew up with
keep rockin' Kathryn bonnie lass.
Yes, me too, but in '58 I was 16 years old & in high school. :)
I was 10 in 1958and I also didn’t need a list of choices. And i also don’t like much of anything past the 60s
Got them all right. 50s and 60s music was the best. Loved all the harmonies many of the groups back then had. You do not have groups like that any more
10 out of 10, love those songs still.
10 out of 10! I remember and love all these songs. Thank you for the memories.
Born in 58 but got 100% the best decade of music.
That was back when I was young, and the listed songs were memorable. It was A walk down memory lane, and I had no problem remembering. Totally different these days. :)
10 out of 10 Thanks for the game
😃 I got all 10 correct easily... but that was my high school days and they were played all the time on the radio. I still have my old 45 RPM records of many of them, and many others. Not to mention some on the old original SUN record labels of Johnny Cash & Elvis. 😃 "The Good Old Days!" 😃
Got all of them. I was12 yrs old, now 79😊😊😊😊😊
Got all correct, thanks for sharing.
Aced it without even looking at the choices. Popular artist and songs from the USA are no challenge.
Great choices for an old guy! Love it! Refreshes memories!
10/10 I love 50s music!!!!!!!
Aced this test! I was in elementary school, but listened to the radio. Plus, in the dreadful 80s, listened to the Golden Oldies station instead of the Top 40. Classic beginnings of rock and roll!
10/10 to easy
10 of 10, and I was only 2 yrs. old in 1958. Most of those songs are the first classics of R-n-R and I'm listening to them again now on Sirius along with songs from the 40's-70's.
10 out of 10 grate quiz
Easiest 100 I ever got. These were all big time songs & artists ❤
10 out of 10. I remember those years so well and the music was something everyone loved!
I was born in 1948, so I was a bit young in 1958. I scored 10/10 at any rate; I remember hearing all of these on the radio.
10 of 10 born in 1952 a few lucky guesses.hope everyone had a safe and merry Christmas 👍💯🎅🎁🤶🎄⛄
@philb6490 Well done Phil I also got 10/ 10 born January 31st 1953

I got 100%. I was only six in 1958, but between the radio, American Bandstand and my older sister, my young self really got to know the music if that era. Bit of associated trivia: my older sister made me dance with her while watching American Bandstand when I was ten so that she could practice the dance steps of the times. I wasn’t alone in being conscripted into dancing practice partner by an older sibling: my friends were too👍🏾
Love me tender was 1956
10 out of 10, you play them and I'll sing along. Born in 47 with siblings born in 37, 40, and 44, and 4 more after me. My favorite music is big band thru all the beautiful young men singing in the late 50's to late 60's. Also includes country, blues and blue grass. Throw in a sax or some bagpipes too! Stopped listening when hard rock, heavy metal and rap took over. 😂❤❤
10/10 I was only 5yrs old in 1958, but was brought up listening to music
Sandra I was born in 1952 and have loved music my whole life.never could play an instrument but always and still do love music.i believe we grew up during the greatest decades for music.💞🇺🇸🎵🎸🎶🎅🎁🤶🎄⛄
@philb6490 I was born January 1953, and from a very young age my older cousin let me listen to her records. At that time we all lived in my grandparents house. There was a shortage of housing after the war. My cousin had no siblings so we were close. I never learnt to play any instruments unfortunately being the eldest of children. I had to help with the younger siblings. I've loved music ever since, my neighbours often ask me to turn my music down, not that I take any notice. We did grow-up in the greatest music era. I do my cleaning to my music dancing around with the cleaner. My poor dog 🐕 must think OMG here she goes again 🎅🎄👍🥰🎵🎵❤️❤️🥳
So glad to hear from you sandra.we grew up with turn tables 8 tracks but we also were lucky to have all the great music.i have Sirius XM radio in my car and listen to all the great stations that they offer.at night if I'm watching a sports event on TV I turn on the mute and do my playlist.i believe music can bring so much joy to people.i hope we can be musical friends Sandra.hope you had a wonderful christmas.and wishing you a happy and healthy new year.💞🇺🇸🎅🎁🤶🎄⛄🎵🎸🎶🌞
@philb6490 It's nice to hear from you also Phil. I remember the old 45's, my dad had a lot of old albums, my brother took them all after our parents passed away. I started learning to drive, one summer evening and old boyfriend let me drive his 🚗 car. He put L plates on the car and we went down the Gower all twisting roads and farm land. I saw this hay rick coming towards us, the bales of hay looked about to fall off. I panicked, slammed on the brakes got out of the car and made him take me home. That was the end of me learning to drive and finish with him. I never bothered to learn after that, besides there are too many lunatics on the road. I see that you like sports, I love football and darts, my late dad and brother got me into them. I love Manchester United. I don't have the sports channels it's too expensive for someone who doesn't really like tv. I'm the same if there's ever a game on I turn the sound down. You can follow it without the commentary. I had a nice quite Christmas 🎄 Day on my own. I normally go to my daughter's for a few hours. Only her partner's van is off the road. I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas 🎄 Day and I also wish you A Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year 🎵🎄🎶
🎻🎸☃️🎅🥳
I love your stories sandra.i bought my first car in 1970.a brand new VW bug.it cost 1900 dollars only problem was I never drove a stick shift.so on my way home I had to stop then go up a hill.well after stalling out about 10 times I took the long way home.the next day my buddies took me out to the country and taught me how to feather the clutch.you say you don't drive anymore.i am the complete opposite I bought a 2023 Hyundai Tucson in March of 2023 and I now have over 40 thousand miles on the car.so I listen to a lot of music when I'm driving.a lot of my trips are to the golf course which i go everyday day until winter arrives.by the way I'm from Utica NY a very nice city with some of the best food from people who immigrated here and opened up some marvelous restaurants.well sandra I hope I have met another wonderful person from around the world.i think great friends make life so much more joyful.take care Sandra and be safe.💞🇺🇸🇬🇧🌞😊🎵🎸🎶
I was 18 in 1958 so got all of them. Met Pat Boone and took a lot of pictures of him with some admirers. He was a real gentleman and indulged us and joined in the fun.
10 of 10. That’s because I’m a 74 year old music lover.
I was born in 1963 but was happy to get 8 out of ten in Jan 2025 as a 61 year old. In the days gone by the radio was always on with a TV that only had 3 channels. Happy days. My Mothers favourite singer who has now passed away of the 1950's was Mario Lanza.
My mums favourite too ❤
Love this quizz! 10 out of 10!!
Amazing i got them all!
Got them all right...although the selections weren't very challenging. Don't forget, there are a lot of us out here who remember these seminal songs vividly.

All right 15 years old at the time fantastic music

10/10. Either the sign of a good memory (born in 1949) or a misspent youth.
10/10--I used to call in to the local radio station on Saturday request day for a lot of these, and also "Twilight Time," which didn't make the list.
Perfect score.
Got all correct ....thank you for doing this quiz xx
Got all of them right! Was born in the 50's! Also into the Rockabilly movement 💕😬
Most of today's stuff is eminently forgettable but all of these remain clear as day in my memory. The 50s and 60s were the best decades for music.
I got all 10 right! Loved the quiz!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😅😅😅😅😂😂😂
Got them all right, but 2 were educated guesses! I was 11 at the time and just into pop music!

10 of 10.🎉
I was born in December 1950 so I was 7 through most of 58 and I still aced this one. Stupid Easy. But that could be because I really love music and listen to those very tracks on a regular basis to this day. I originally bought the 45 of Love Letters in The Sand for the flip side track "Bernadine"
Got them all correct. I’m now 79 years old.
Had every one right. i was 12 years old in 1958 and was really into music at that time and still am.
