Yes traditionally we don't mourn like other people we celebrate it's a party with occasional tears in an old school Irish wake , wake as in make so much noise you wake the dead , I remember my grandmother's wake was both the saddest and most fun days in my life the religious and crying sadness is in the mouning then the after the well actually it starts the day before a proper wake is a two day affair. Bittersweet is a good description
Thanks second Patrick day video , happy saint Patrick's day for Ireland , yes Guinness is an acquired taste my grandmother lived on it , they make it at saint James's gate brewery in my home town
I like how Mrs.Sippington said I've never had Guiness Stout beer and Mr. Sippington said I've had a few before and proceeded to open one lol. That got the people's eyebrow from her. Fortunately for him he didn't elaborate.
Please react to some actual Irish music. I I suggest The Foggy Dew sung by Sinead O'Connor in the studio with The Chieftains..or Sinead on her own song, This is a Rebel Song; This is a Love Song. Or I Am Stretched On Your Grave sung by any body. I could go on..and on but I'll control myself.

This was actually really cool to learn, I've always heard the term "wake" and never knew what it meant
@@lazarus1540 my pleasure. There is an old song called finnigans wake . Its a funny traditional song but it describes a particular wake in the lyrics.
